Just tested the last git version, working as expected with at least DE, FI and
LATAM nodeadkey layouts.
I believe either the original reporter or an administrator has to close the
bug? At least I couldn't find where to close it.

With a little experimentation, chmod 666 works, which would make sense as 644
only gives read access for users.. doh! Still no improvement though, Popup menu
appears, choose play and terminal hangs after "ALSA lib
pcm.c:2145:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default:0" message (requiring
CTRL+C), or simply returns to prompt if using OSS rather than ALSA.

Bother? That's a bit harsh, I already said I'm new at this and kinda making it
up as I go along... give me a chance (and preferably some instructions) ;)
With Worms3D
Er, tried usual permissions change of sudo chmod 644 /dev/sg0 but that didn't
work so I'm obviously doing it wrong. I did however try launching as root which
removed those errors but didn't allow me to launch the program. Something I
should have noticed initially is that the first time the program is run an
error is generated in the Terminal screen. After the first run it errors as
previously described. Attaching this error.

Still an issue, but the tweak solved the problem (had to reconfigure the server

Worms3D is an interesting one too. This version has been updated to Service
patch 2 (v.1073).
Scanning -> c:\Team17\Worms 3D\original\Worms3D.exe
File Type : Exe, Size : 5582848 (0553000h) Byte(s)
[!] SecuROM Detected - Version 5.02.00
- Scan Took : 0.383 Seconds
[rob@alias /]$ cd "/home/rob/.wine/drive_c/Team17/Worms 3D"
[rob@alias Worms 3D]$ wine Launcher.exe
First the graphical Worms 3D launcher menu appears (allowing choice of screen
resolution and an empty box labelled 'advanced', presumably for command line
options, plus buttons labelled 'Cancel', 'Check for Updates' and 'Play').
Terminal output then reads:
ALSA lib conf.c:3949:(snd_config_expand) Unknown parameters 0
ALSA lib pcm.c:2145:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default:0
ALSA lib conf.c:3949:(snd_config_expand) Unknown parameters 0
ALSA lib pcm.c:2145:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default:0
err:aspi:SCSI_OpenDevice Failed to open device /dev/sg0: Permission denied
err:aspi:SCSI_OpenDevice Failed to open device /dev/sg1: Permission denied
err:aspi:SCSI_OpenDevice Failed to open device /dev/sg2: Permission denied
As you can see, very like the RCT3 messages, but doesn't seem to scan the CDROM
at all, although it will prompt for the CD if not mounted. Something to do with
it using an earlier version of SecuROM 5 perhaps?
Did:
WINEDEBUG=+relay wine Launcher.exe > debug3.log 2>&1
WINEDEBUG=+relay,+tid,+server,+seh wine Launcher.exe > debug4.log 2>&1
Both Words3D and RCT debugs make reference to:
HARDWARE\\DEVICEMAP\\Scsi\\Scsi Port 4\\Scsi Bus 0\\Target Id 4\\Logical Unit
Id
In regedit, this maps to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\Scsi\Scsi Port
4... etc and seems to be where information about the CDROM drives are located:
An export of this key shows:

I'm curious. I haven't seen the lockup I've described since WoW 2.3.3 release
two days ago, where character load times were (allegedly) decreased.
Of course, merely posting this statement will mean Murphy will make it lockup
on next logout, but I'm interested if others are seeing it less, or not at all.

Summary: Gecko does not install and load
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.52.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: programs
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: tombert(a)gmx.at
Found that the URL in the registry is wrongly set to
"http://source.winehq.org/winegecko.php" instead of ...//sourceforge...
Correcting this URL does not fix the problem - gecko does not install.
Anyhow, not even a manual extraction of the cabinet to GeckoPath
"drive_c/windows/gecko/0.1.0" makes it work. The message is always "HTML
rendering disabled"
thx

Summary: Black Screen while using dxlevel 90, 80 or 81 to play
CS:S
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.43.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: steffen-trekki(a)web.de
When I started CS:S the first time, I got a black Screen, but everything works,
only the screen was black.
I tried to disable the Pixel Shader, but it doesn't helped.
A few days later, I read that you have to use "dxlevel70", I tried it and it
works.
But now I've only 20 fps.
I've an ATI Radeon X1600 Sapphire with fglrx driver (games like Americas Army
or World of Padman, or even Stronghold Crusader working fine, so it's not my
system).
I've heared the same from many other friends which use wine, so it is really a
wine problem.

Summary: Guildwars - crash on holding right mousebutton and
doubleclicking
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.39.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P3
Component: wine-directx
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: david_kaufmann(a)gmx.at
On my system (Linux 2.6.21-gentoo-r4 i686 Intel Core 2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz)
with wine-0.9.39 (emerged from Portage tree) wine when running Guild Wars
crashes without message (Window closes an process exits) when I hold the right
mouse-button and double-click anywhere in the wine-window. It does not matter
whether I'm logged in or not. I'm running wine with the command:
wine "C:\Program Files\Guildwars\Gw.exe" -windowed -nosound >/dev/null 2>&1
(Even without sending all to /dev/null it shows no message related to this bug)
As this is my first bugreport I hope I wrote it in a way you understand it. :)
