I simply asked for someone who was familiar with the bug to test it. Those bugs that were closed where either reported fixed (and closed as such) or had not received a response when more information/logs/etc were asked for (and were closed abandoned - NOT fixed). If you install native riched20 like this, $ wget http://download.microsoft.com/download/winntsp/Patch/RTF/NT4/EN-US/Q249973i… $ cabextract Q249973i.EXE $ mv riched20.dll riched32.dll .wine/drive_c/windows/system32 $ wine winectrl and set them both to native, the app's find and "color test api" work much better. Created a new prefix and install firefox 2.0.0.11 then install the plug in. Going to this url http://machunter.org/Imaging%20Infinity%20Show1.html has a version that starts in the paused mode. Note without a virtual desktop the plugin will go to the full screen mode and backspace (page back) can be used to regain the desktop. This seems like a regression as none of the right click menus now show but I have not run it since I changed to Ubuntu. Component 'dhtmled.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid According to http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa663363.aspx that UUID is provided by triedit.dll, which is in the same SDK that dhtmled.ocx is. Copying it into system32 and regsvr32'ing it fixed that problem. Next problem is a null pointer reference in triedit.dll: fixme:msimtf:CActiveIMM_Create ((nil) {08c0e040-62d1-11d1-9326-0060b067b86e} 0x1faef34) fixme:ole:CoCreateInstance no instance created for interface {08c0e040-62d1-11d1-9326-0060b067b86e} of class {4955dd33-b159-11d0-8fcf-00aa006bcc59}, hres is 0x80004002 wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000000 at address 0x59a051f0 (thread 0009), starting debugger... That UUID is IActiveIMMApp, so perhaps this is a gap in our msimtf implementation or its ecosystem? (You can also reproduce this by running VBEdit.exe from the same DHTML SDK. I retrieved a copy from an archive site; here's the sha1sum of the copy I retrieved: 3aeaa4b04f87d6bc4abe1c8e65963b51741bb520 dhedsdk.exe 1452151 bytes.) Anyway, the original problem seems solved.
