No need to resort to insults. If we don't want people to be able to confirm
bugs with votes, then perhaps we should adjust the needed votes to confirm or
change this feature. Calling users morons will just discourage people from
reporting bugs, which is the opposite of what bugzilla exists to do.

CNC python broadcast thing
I made a python script to fix this issue aswell. It is to be run on the linux
box, and does not need to be run as root (here at least). You do still have to
change your hosts file though.

Yes. To reproduce, download and install the CSLU
toolkit, then run
wine "C:\\Program Files\\CSLU\\tcl80\\bin\\wish80.exe" "C:/Program
Files/CSLU/Toolkit/2.0/apps/rad.tcl"
See also bug 11062 for a bug in menu item creation (with fix).
Probably independent of this one.

Summary: Starcraft: segfault on battle.net login screen
Product: Wine
Version: CVS/GIT
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: join.together(a)gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=10027)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=10027)
Output from a crash when attempting to connect to Starcraft Battle.net
Whenever I attempt to connect to battle.net with Starcraft, the program either
hangs or crashes. When run from the terminal, wine reports a segfault before
hanging/crashing.
OS: Kubuntu 7.10
Steps to reproduce:
1: Set all configurations to default
2: Install Starcraft
3: Run starcraft, attempt to connect to battle.net
4: Download the patch
5: Once patched and the software has restarted, attempt to connect to
battle.net again.
6: The program should crash or hang upon hitting the login screen.
Wine output from the crash is included in the attachment.
I don't know what component this falls under, so I set it to wine-binary.

Summary: InstallShield fails almost consistently with 2
alternating errors
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: pacshady(a)gmail.com
While trying to install programs using InstallShield, the setup fails with one
of two errors, alternating between them each time the setup is run. The first
error appears immediately after setup is run, displaying this error dialog box:
The InstallShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be launched. (0x80004002)
The second error waits until the InstallShield Wizard loading bar has reached
full, and then displays this error dialog box:
An error occurred while parsing command line arguments or reading Setup.ini.
(0x80030070)
These will happen on alternating occasions each time the setup is run, for an
indeterminate period of time, until the user either gets sick of it or the
setup program loads up once and spontaneously works.

Many thanks for that info.
I think this relates even to the behavior of the Program glxinfo, wich breaks
with the message "Segmentation fault (core dumped)" under Ubuntu 7.10. Under
Ubuntu 7.04 it runs without a break.
I' am trying to find out more on the mesa homepage.
Thanks

wine-0.9.52, Ubuntu 7.10, nVidia FX 5200
This report seems to be invalid, the application seems to work ok, I downloaded
the demo from here: ftp://ftp.maxon.net/pub/r95/demo/cinema_4d_r96_windemo.zip
It runs, I loaded some sort of scene, can zoom in and out and stuff. Yes I see
the reported message, but it doesn't appear to mean much.
Can't contact the reporter, their address bounces my email:
Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 13): 550 sorry, no mailbox here by that name.
(#5.7.17)
Someone should resolve this as invalid.

There is a setting in the preferences to either redirect to the same bug or to
the next one in the last search. So what is your setting and what happens?
