I tried again today with wine 0.9.52 and this is the result: run with already installed Mankind: fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x33f13c,0x00000000), stub! fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_Release (0x146a38) Device released with resources still bound, acceptable but unexpected fixme:d3d:dumpResources Leftover resource 0x145fd0 with type 1,WINED3DRTYPE_SURFACE fixme:shdocvw:PersistMemory_Load (0x14b740)->(0x41c5ec 9c) fixme:shdocvw:OleObject_Close (0x14b740)->(1) Uninstall was successful, but did not remove starmenu program group and links (*.lnk) and exited with 255. Did also not remove registry entries. But thats not wine's fault. This is pretty similar to what I get with other wine versions. I did have a little more success with a wine version from 2004 and lots of native dlls, but never really got it running. I currently use the following config: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ole32,rpcrt4,msvcrt20,msvcrt,msvcirt=n" In this, the ole32 and rpcrt4 are required to get a fuctional copy/paste function. But why do wine run with Ubuntu 7.10 on some machines and not on other machines? I am not alone with this problem... And that there is no output from winecfg, that is a bug from wine i think!
