To repeat: rm -rf .wine sh winetricks vcrun6 wsh56 wine cscript or, to see the banner it's trying to print, wine cscript | cat or wineconsole cscript (though the latter is useless since it's in a separate window that disappears immediately). Is there any reason WriteConsole shouldn't work when writing to bare streams? I did however try launching as root which removed those errors but didn't allow me to launch the program. Something I should have noticed initially is that the first time the program is run an error is generated in the Terminal screen. After the first run it errors as previously described.
