Point taken. No offense meant. I'll start submitting test results for
PC-BSD/Solaris whenever I've got them up.

The same could be said for obscure apps that no one else is using.

I've got bugs filed for all the failures I see on OpenSolaris/PC-BSD aside from
graphics related bugs. A few of these have already been fixed, because the bugs
where filed. I don't have time to test those platforms daily/as often as my
Ubuntu boxes, so filing a bug was the best way to make sure they weren't
forgotten. I don't constantly ping them, nor are they metabugs, so I fail to
see the problem.

test.winehq.org is getting attention now, it's unlikely
to be ignored. We have an implied metabug which
says "get all test results on test.winehq.org passing".
Bugs for individual failing tests on secondary platforms

That's why it's so hard to track progress on that bug. Initially, it made a lot
of progress, now it's a mess.

True, but they're much harder to fix without proper information (debug traces,
etc.)

That X11 crash was reported to Apple a lot before it was fixed. While most of
the issues may be Wine bugs, it can't hurt to have Apple looking at it from
their end.

I have to disagree Dan. A lot of these are probably dupes of the Solaris or
FreeBSD bugs already filed. Only submitting data on test.winehq.org may get
overlooked, while bugs are much more noticeable. While they may not get looked
at for a while, these tests are much easier to fix if individually filed as
bugs, with appropriate traces and other reporting information.

+1, using patchwatcher to prevent NEW bugs from getting in would be excellent.

Indeed, according to the severity combobox description, this bug should be
flagged as trivial.
I tested on both Linux and Windows and all applications close their menus when
you touch their window decoration. To be consistent and without these GUI
glitches, Wine must probably forward these events to the applications...

I can confirm this happens with Word 2003 in 1.1.7. Simply moving the mouse
over the menu bar makes the detached box re-attach. Based on my admittedly
brief testing, this problem only seems to occur in windowed mode, not in a
virtual desktop. IMO, the severity should be trivial, because even when
detached, the menus work fine.

You can download Firefox 3.0.3 and reproduce the bug as I stated in comment#12.
Should I change the summary line to "Detached menus in Firefox" and add the
"download" keyword again? I just ask beforehand because I do not feel like
starting another bugzilla edit war with Vitaliy...
Testing and verification with a downloadable application seems to be much more
practical.

Hello. Here to give a report on a Game Editing program called ZED. Downloadable
here: http://www.jkhub.net/library/index.php/Tools:ZED
The problems that I'm having is that an options called Map Settings (accessed
from Tools menu or F4 hotkey) isn't working.
Also, a window called the 3D Preview (accessed from Tools menu or F12 hotkey)
doesn't work as expected. I know that Direct3D is not implememnted yet, but
even at OpenGL there are problems. The display options I have are Direct3D RM,
Direct3D IM, OpenGL. Sub Options (Direct3D device) are Direct3D HEL and HAL
(same on all 3). I select OpenGL HEL because that is the one that gives me a
stable image. If I try HAL the image flickers and goes black. All others give
an External exception error 80000100.
During the OpenGL HEL display, I can move around the little level, but the 3D
objects (player/walkplayer) aren't displayed. I can however, select him but not
by clicking in the direction where he should be. I simply click the floor
surface of the room and I select the player, I click on the wall and select the
floor, click somewhere inbetween and I select the opposite wall.

After installing DCOM98.EXE, it installed OK without the "accwiz.dll failed"
message.
I also set these DllOverrides in Libraries Tab or by editing user.reg

Tested the rediffed patch from comment #13 using Wine 1.1.7 and Goldwave 5.25,
before and after the patch, and loading an MP3 continues to produce the
error(s):
fixme:mpeg3:MPEG3_StreamSize misses the block header overhead
as well as the resulting corruption in the loaded data as mentioned above in
comment #10.

I'm sorry for the long answer delay. I've just installed the game again today
and tested it.
It still doesn't work with wine git.
Please reopen this report, I'll provide any needed info.

debug log for DAZ|Studio 1.5.0.1 Installer under Wine 1.1.7
(In reply to comment #7)
> I can't find 1.5 anywhere. Can anyone test this?
I dug up a copy of 1.5.0.1 and tested with Wine 1.1.7 in a clean .wine . This
version of the DAZ|Studio installer still crashes on install, 1.7.x and later
don't. Considering as this is an obsolete version of DAZ|Studio (The latest
stable version is 2.2.x), this doesn't seem too important, though.
Options used to produce debug log:
echo quit | WINEDEBUG=+relay WINEPREFIX=/home/andrew/.bottles/DS/ wine
PC_DAZStudio_1_5_1.exe 2>&1 | tee filename.out;
tail -n 100 filename.out > ds_report_file
system:
Slackware 12.1
Wine 1.1.7
gcc version 4.2.3

Ralph & Pavel, those long logs showing that comctl32
couldn't be found just mean that you didn't override
comctl32 properly.
However, overriding comctl32 isn't too useful... the
app crashes even sooner here with native comctl32.
For me, with plain wine, it crashes just as Anastasius describes
(inside the app's window proc):

stateMask=0, pszText="", cchTextMax=512, iImage=0, iIndent=0}
