Summary: LiveForSpeed S2 freezes at Agreement screen
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.55.
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: samjh2007(a)gmail.com
I've just replaced Ubuntu Gutsy with Debian Etch. With Ubuntu I've had no
problems running LFS via Wine (the latest versions). However when running it in
Debian Etch, LFS freezes as soon as I click the "Agree" button in the Agreement
screen (the screen just after selecting the driver name). At this point I am
forced to alt-tab back to the terminal and close LFS from there.
The only thing that looks out of the ordinary is a fixme message repeated more
than a dozen times when the Agree button is clicked (the message does not
appear before that action):
fixme:d3d:unloadNumberedArrays >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_ENUM (0x500) from
glDisableVertexAttribArrayARB(rgb) @ state.c / 2913
Note that this fixme did NOT occur when running LFS under Ubuntu 7.10 with Wine
0.9.55.
The latest Wine version available for Debian Etch is 0.9.55. I've tried running
LFS using 53 and 54, but encountered the identical problem.

The game does not work in Wine 0.9.55 (graphics are completely trashed and
distorted - rest of the game is fine). It's a regression, since I got it to
work perfectly some time ago (may have been Wine 0.9.52 or 0.9.53 maybe). Some
recent changes to D3D broke it probably.
I am running wine-0.9.55, kernel 2.6.23.16, Gentoo Linux (x86).
Here is what I have in the shell, as it's pretty short I'll still paste it
here, hope it's ok.

Summary: Panzer General II doesn't display background

I use Fedora 8 and wine 0.9.55, but I get the bug with older versions too.
A description of the bug can be found here :
http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/2007-March/026538.html
Note :
1. This bug seems to be exactly the same I got running Panzer General
under Windows XP, without having activated the "Win 95/98 compatibility mode"
of the desktop shortcut.
But even if I say to Wine to emulate Win 95 or 98, it fails.
2. This bug is also reproductible under Windows 95/98 if you don't have the
original game CD in your drive when launching the game.
3. I have the legal CD (I bought it)

Summary: DAZ: New style of 3D content installer from DAZ fails
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.53.

Priority: P2

The new version of the Victoria 4 model, namely Victoria 4.2, has a different
windows executable installer than previous content files from this vendor.
Previous content installers worked without problems. The content is intended
for use in Poser
(http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=115) and DAZ
Studio (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=1998).
The Victoria 4.2 installer exits with the message "Error reading INI file in
\DAZ\dzInstall.ini" in a dialog box, preventing the installation of the new
content files. No log is available, AFAIK.
This is the product whose installer fails:
http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/shop/itemdetails/-/?item=4783&cat=350
I am running wine 0.9.53 because DAZ Studio reportedly does not run correctly
under 0.9.54 or 0.9.55 (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11341).

While playing Half Life 2, I've encountered following problem: sometimes key
'stucks' in 'keyrepeat mode'. Ie. I press 'W' for forward, and I get 'W' in
keyrepeat WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW(...). It is system-wide, so if I launch
xterm, I got WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW..., if I switch console got WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...
and so on, until I kill X. It is not limited to 'W', it is just most often key
I'm stuck with.
It is not hardware problem (tested).

When i use wine to open Pro/Desktop, Flatout 2, San Andreas and other games it
makes the cache memory get bigger and bigger until it slows the computer.
The cache percentage never drops.
It appears that wine is leaking to the cache
