I also suffered from the same problem, sometimes it'll just stop redrawing, I'm
not sure what triggers this behavior.
My Wine version is 1.1.6.

Yes, but for XP and Vista it must be run in Windows 95 compatibility mode and
it also needs a patch.

Similar problem in "Disney Sneeuwwitje in het toverboekspel 1.0/NL", with Wine
1.1.5: I get the texts (in dutch): "DirectDraw Fout: Disney's De Afrekening
moet worden uitgevoerd in duizenden of miljoenen kleuren (16- of 32-bits
instellingen). Wijzig de beeldscherminstellingen. Klik op OK om terug te keren
naar Windows".
In English: The game does not detect 16 or 32 bit color mode.
Logging of Wine (consistent with this message):
fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x33e928,0x00000000), stub!
fixme:d3d:WineD3D_ChoosePixelFormat Add OpenGL context recreation support to
SetDepthStencilSurface

Usualy, "vertical space is expensive, horizontal space is cheap".
Even more with ultra-portables, where resolutions like 1024*600 are common, and
where current configuration window buttons already goes out of visible area.

The bug is for 1.4.1. TortoiseSVN-1.4.1.7992-win32-svn-1.4.2.msi still fails
for me with wine-1.1.6
As per comment 5 the component shouldn't be msvcrt.

Wine has its own ddraw implementation which doesn't need it, and Windows
ddraw won't work in Wine.
