Thanks to Christian Costa's great job, Mediastream is now stubbed. Each
particular bug about this interface should be reported in its own report.
I think that one can close this one.

If no other app displays this bug, probably should resolve it abandoned, since
the client fixed it on their end, and using older versions is

Screenshot of the bug
I have a dual screen setup, not Xinerama nor Nvidia TwinView.
' Screen 0 "Screen0" 1024 0
Screen 1 "Screen1" LeftOf "Screen0" '
Screen1 (Left) is 800x600, Screen0 (Right) is 1024x768. Compiz is enabled.
Wine app (Miranda) is running on a larger right screen, but only left 800x600
region is correctly drawn. (See screenshots. Note that last correctly drawn
pixel is at (799,599), counting from zero). If I drag a window to upper left
corner, it draws itself correctly. If I change something inside a window, it
may draw something in that region.
May be a Compiz bug, btw. But it happens only with Wine for now.

I have recently noticed that wine window is not updated when compositing

some applications (StarCraft). I have configured wine to run in 640x480 window,
and said window will only get refreshed when it is moved around when
compositing manager is active. When it is disabled, window is refreshed
properly.

The reason it "captures" mouse input - tab control is being extended down too
far. And it's overlapping buttons.
Something like this fixes the problem but breaks apps that don't embed
propsheet into dialogs (eg winecfg):
--- a/dlls/comctl32/propsheet.c
+++ b/dlls/comctl32/propsheet.c
@@ -799,7 +799,7 @@ static BOOL PROPSHEET_AdjustSize(HWND hwndDlg,
PropSheetInfo* psInfo)
TRACE("tab client rc %s\n", wine_dbgstr_rect(&rc));
rc.right += ((padding.x * 2) + tabOffsetX);
- rc.bottom += (buttonHeight + (3 * padding.y) + tabOffsetY);
+ rc.bottom += buttonHeight + (3 * padding.y);
/*
* Resize the property sheet.
I still don't exactly understand how exactly this program embedding propsheet
control into dialog. It's c++ and using some MFC magic.

With a fix by Michael Karcher (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=13997)
Mankind can be started, but neither updates can be downloaded, nor a connection

I've noticed the browser maps are working, I have yet to test the agent maps.
On a separate note, we have some form of memory leak that seems to be
attributed to leaving these maps open that causes a crash after long enough
time.

Output from Bloodrayne 1 running under Wine 1.1.9
I'm running wine-1.1.9 under Gentoo Linux (AMD64) and I confirm there is no
text in menus anymore in Bloodrayne 1. (It also happens with Bloodrayne 2.)
Also the game doesn't switch to fullscreen anymore. Attached is wine complete
output with Direct3D output rendering selected. (The game crashes with OpenGL
rendering...)

Yes, BOTS is one of MANY games affected by the inability to run GameGuard.
Here is a list on wikipedia of games that include GameGuard.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GameGuard
I would post the list here, but there is a few dozen titles.
Cheers.

Skype 3.0.0.137 successfully logs in as of Wine 1.1.10 on Ubuntu 8.10 x86_64
However, there is an unhandled wine exception, but this doesn't cause the
program to crash.
Also, the sign-in takes along time (1-2 mins) on first run and the shutdown is
dirty and the process has to be manually killed before the application can be
relaunched.
Question:
How do i export the default terminal output into a log?
$wine "program" > program.log doesn't work

You should file a separate bug for that and list it as blocking this one.

I'm having this same issue, and so I tried running it like so:
WINEDEBUG=all wine .wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Activision/Sfc3/SFC3.exe &>
winelog.txt
I've attached a chunk of the log (the whole thing is about 32M).
I don't claim to have much knowledge of the inner working of wine, I'm a user
not a developer, but I did notice something on line 463 (apparently just before
the failed dll load) that seems odd: what appears to be a call to a function
'create_mapping' which includes an objattr parameter in which name=L"". Is
that normal? In other spots in the log this parameter seems to contain the
name of the dll that is being loaded.
I'm running wine version 1.0.1 on Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid)

Tested a bit with a patch that saves/loads vshaders from disk instead of
translating from D3D. With basic vshaders the distortions (and the avatar that
seems to be courtesy of vshader 8 in the previous attachment) in PoP are gone -
sometimes. Other times, on game start textures are weird (very colorful), and
misplaced large planes can be seen all over the place. Can't make heads or
tails of this really. However, since the avatar disappears almost completely
with vshader 8 disabled but is mostly okay with vshader 8 enabled it looks like
Stefan is right and shaders - at least for PoP - are ok in general.

well, i don't know if it will install something after it starts the MSSQL
service, so you could say it's not there yet...

I haven't retested yet. If the installer completes successfully
without error dialog boxes, this bug should be closed. But it
sounds like it's not quite there yet?

it's been commited :)
shouldn't this be closed and open a new bug for the MSSQL service failure?
MSDE does install to Program Files and stuff so...
what do you think Dan?

When running warcraft III you can change X session desktops using the F keys,
however the minute you run another wine application and revert back to the
Warcraft III window... all textures are lost? I believe similar to the other
texture loss bug.
