Status bar improperly rendered in lower left
Chrome uses a status bar that to display when actions, such as loading a site,
are taking place. When an action begins the status bar should appear light
blue in the lower left corner of the screen with text describing the action,
and when the action is complete the status bar should disappear.
When running Chrome in Wine the status bar does does not correctly appear and
disappear. Problems include: the status bar is present without any status text
when chrome starts, loading pages almost never triggers updating the status bar
with a status message, the status bar occasionally shows through windows placed
in front of the chrome window, rarely the status bar does change but it then
returns to being stuck in the new state.
The stuck status bar is blue, but attempts to capture the status bar with a
screen shot result in the status bar simply being incorrectly rendered. A
screen shot is attached.

Screenshot of Google Chrome with flipped YouTube video
Google Chrome renders some (not all) YouTube videos as rotated.
A good example to reproduce is http://www.youtube.com/projectreport - it is
always rendered rotated.
Usual YouTube videos (when someone send you link like
www.youtube.com/watch?v=...) works fine.

See bug 14381 for the overall bug; this is just the msxml3 part.
Roy's recipe in bug 14381#14 (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14381#c14)
for installing lively includes copying msxml3 and msxml3r from windows xp.
We shouldn't need to do that.

When running Photoshop CS2, holding the 'spacebar' key to temporarily switch to
the hand tool and trying to use it to pan around an image while having a
different tool selected will cause Photoshop CS2 to lag significantly. Using
the hand tool regularly by selecting it from the toolbar will work properly,
though.

Output from terminal (I broke it down to show what I saw, when I saw it
happen).
After using ProcessExplorer to figure out what it used, I used a few DLL
overrides and got the program to load it's window. After that, it locks up and
simply can't load the 3D panels in the program for some reason. I've tried all
I know so I figure it would be a good idea to tell about the bug on here (I
also submitted my test data recently, and at this current moment is yet to be
accepted).
My WINE version is 0.9.59
This is the list of DLL overrides I had to use. You will likely have to tweak
them to try getting DirectX rendering to work.
avifil32 (native)
comctl32 (native)
comdlg32 (native)
dcap32 (native)
dciman32 (native)
ddrawex (native)
imagehlp (native)
kernel32 (native)
lz32 (native)
msacm32 (native)
msvfw32 (native)
msxml3 (native)
ole32 (native)

opengl32 (native, built-in)
regapi (native)
riched20 (native)
riched32 (native)
shdocvw (native)
shell32 (native)
shfolder (native)
shlwapi (native)
You can remove the opengl32 override from the list if you want to try DirectX
rendering. I also observed that unlike trying it in OpenGL mode, the only time
that the window loads properly under DirectX rendering mode is after first
selecting that mode, but trying to run the program again, it renders garbage
for the window.
There may be some dll's in there that are unecessary, but I grabbed the ones
that processexplorer said 3D Studio MAX was using during the time, and a few
that I thought might also be necessary for the DLL's listed to work properly.
Also, Software rendering failed, too. :(

Summary: The regression of Titan Quest game
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.56.
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: barafu.albino.cheetah(a)gmail.com
People in AppDB claim that they have managed to run Titan Quest game nearly
flawless. However, with Wine 0.5.56 it fails after changing the resolution,
saying that
wine: Call from 0x7b843ad0 to unimplemented function
d3dx9_36.dll.D3DXAssembleShaderFromFileA, aborting
though the app was told to use OpenGL instead.
I guess it is a bug in DirectX implementation.
