No, native means windows, builtin means wine.

I'm having the same problems (mouse becomes stuck after some time, sometimes
regenerates after some minutes only to become stuck again seconds later) with
wine version 0.9.55
Currently compiling latest GIT. Gonna check if the problem is solved and report
back then!
I have a question though. What does "native dinput" mean? Isn't wine using it's
own dinput implementation by default, or am I wrong here?
I assume "native" in this context means "supplied by wine", right?
Thanks,
Tobias

Hi Dan, isn't this just a duplicate of bug # 9809 ?
Could you try if the patch there http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=9155
works around this bug? BTW, Autodesk 3dsmax 2008 also runs into this bug

Hello,
this looks like the SCM named object issue I recently encountered with VS.NET
2002/2003/2005 installers.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11420
Could someone with acad2000 trial try my patch from that bug
(http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=10552) and see if it helps?
Regards

cpu-z 1.44.1 with wine 0.9.55 in winme mode doesn't show the mainboard info or
memory SPD. This used to work with older versions of wine and cpu-z.

NVidia GF7900GT, drivers 169.09.
X.org 7.2.0

patch
hi, installing "native" .net 2.0 , and using the usual workarounds to get .net
apps starting , i ran into a crash in shdocvw. With the patch attached, the
AutoWikiBrowser GUI comes up fine, though it seems to be a bit unstable, but
that's another bug of course. At least some functionality seemed to work, like
menu's and settings ;)

This bug is related to
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6033
That thread also contains a workaround.
In fact I'd hazard to guess that this color depth issue is the major problem
with older games in Wine nowadays.

I ran it but my problem was not solved. I notice when I plug my gamepad it
appers as /dev/input/js0 or js1.
I made js0 also readable and the situation is cahnged:
* Language selector works well (first screen) - this one was also wrong before
* In menu selector does not work well
* In game controlling works well

That help center installer spews lots of hex

Damn, this is strange. I can't get this far anymore with
the retail CD. It has the oddest symptom: it puts up the
UI and then gets stuck until I press ^C in the console.
It then redraws and gets stuck again. Repeat.
Not very useful! This regression seems to have occurred
a long time ago, even wine-0.9.42 seems to do it on
one test system.

I've tried many programs which use fonts with fixed widths, and the fonts come
out in a distorted fashion - typically spaces are replaced with 'E's and '='s
replaced with squares, and many more weird character changes. Letters typically
all appear in uppercase. Most of these programs work perfectly except for these
font glitches.
