@Nikolay: it will certainly help , but it's wrong. I already sent something
like that long time ago:
http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-patches/2007-May/039496.html
After it was rejected, i tested on windows, and found this fix is not correct.
Ergo, the cause of this crash must be somewhere else

Could you check it again with this simple patch
(Check for NULL pointer attachement)?
I think it may help.

I tested again in current git: MagicMaych now works fine , but yetisports still
needs the urlmon set to native to display the initial window properly. There's
no need to set shlwapi to native anymore, so that indeed seems to be fixed

DLL loading fails because the file
L"C:\\windows\\temp\\{7769C85E-57B8-438E-8E4D-AAE75BFF0E4F}\\G7AppUtils.dll"
doesn't start with IMAGE_DOS_SIGNATURE.
Oddly, there is a file of the same name on the CD that does. It's
a different size, though.
And what do you know... running with WINEDEBUG=warn+heap,
that file just grows forever until you kill the installer,
and if you hexdump it, it has a whole bunch of 0x55's and 0xaa's in it.
Sounds like a bug... though I don't know if it's in installshield
or in wine. Time to run it under valgrind, I guess.
But that's in the *installer*, not the autorun, so I'm going
to mark this bug fixed, and file a new one once I narrow
down this wierdness more.

Trace posted. The point where I typed the "tell" command can be found by
grepping for "tell guest456 hello www.a".

Summary: Steel Panthers crashes between missions in campaign
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.59.
Platform: PC-x86-64

Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown

Console output
Steel Panthers 8.40 crashes always between missions in campaign. The game is
not playable at all. I have played the game before and this part has worked as
well so it is a regression.
I tried GDI instead of opengl, and setting the emulation to Windows 95. Can't
figure out anything that would change the behaviour. I will see if I can find
more fresh Wine package for my system.
