Then when I'm trying to stars a game, I can see an intro movie, than there is a loading indicator with text "initializing sound", and than the game crashes. I'm using wine 1.0-rc4 + Ubuntu 8.04. In detail, what should be : C:\\windows\\profiles\\massimo\\Applicazioni\\Autodesk\\AutoCAD 2005\\...... Is instead written like that : C:\\windows\\profiles\\massimo\\ApplicazioniAutodesk\\AutoCAD 2005\\ Note the missing '\\' between 'Applicazioni' and 'Autodesk' Folders in profile are created accordingly, so instead of : massimo Applicazioni Autodesk It's created as : massimo ApplicazioniAutodesk That brings problems in some addons (like ExpressTools for autocad) and, I guess, it's the cause for the first-run error messagebox. I think some path-related functions in wine is missing the terminating \\. My wife plays this often, and problems in it are a showstopper for migration to Linux (see http://kegel.com/wine/migrating-user-1.html). The game plays tolerably in Linux (once you figure out to click the 'X' icon on the left bar to get fullscreenish mode)... but if you play badly and lose, the game over dialog that pops up is not drawn properly. I'll attach a saved game; to reproduce the problem, load the saved game (File / Load), then click on the two "3" tiles.
