As I said there it can be "worked around" by using the commercial cedega software, which has other minor problems too, but nothing compared to the slowness under wine. 1. download the free client using bittorrent: http://torrent.funcom.com/torrents/AnarchyOnline_17.6.1_EP0.exe.torrent 2. register a free account: http://register.funcom.com/ 3. Start the game, talk to the neutral recruiter at the island and take the Wompah (teleporter) to Borealis, which will leave you in complete graphical laggyness. You can also notice the laggyness at the Unicorn Outpost (needs paid expansion content), playershops in the guild cities (paid content too), and a few more places. All of these places are frequently used by the players and visiting them is a major pain of course, but as they're the central places in game, you can't really get around on the long run. It's not my system causing the lag though, as it works fine with the cedega software. Same about the frequency value 0000000000028.012100 in mHz (28.0121 mhz) is shown like 298112000.0. I dont know what kind of database is used, but it has the .isd extension, also .isf, .ism, .isl files are present. We were only accepting names like "iso-8859-1", but Windows accepts "ISO8859-1". However there is a bug (probably in 1.4 too, but I'm reporting it for 1.5b anyway) with the weapons selection menu and sprites. Especially with the menu, Soldat lags horribly, and once you do select your weapon, everything is fine again. Also, when sprites are drawn on the screen, it also seems to spike a bit. The resizing handles should be visible when clicking an object with the select tool. By contrast, the turning/shearing handles are visible. The turning/shearing handels appear when clicking an object twice with the select tool. Additionally, Bezier handles and points on curves do appear, but in wrong colors (cyan instead of red). Bezier handles and points appear when using the edit shape tool. This is on a wine 1.1.2 install on Ubuntu Linux 8.04 in its standard settings. The same bug is present when using Xara Xtreme X1, which is the thirdlast edition. The bug is also present in earlier versions of wine (e.g. 0.9.56) and CrossOver (e.g. 7.0.1). Installed Radmin server 3.1 (http://www.famatech.com/download/rserv31.exe) on a windows computer. 2. Installed Radmin viewer 3.1 on a linux computer with wine installed. 3. Started Radmin viewer and open "Connection Properties" window (can be reached "Right click on connection icon" --> "Properties" or "Connection" --> "Connect to"). The list of intermediate hosts in "Advanced settings" should be grayed (disabled) until checkbox "Connect through host" is marked.
