Under Windows I can sort all program's lists by clicking on columns' headers.
Under Wine when I click on headers, nothing happens. No messages in terminal
either.
However, everything works perfectly with native comctl32.dll.

Summary: The Bat! main window disappears on load, program keeps

Product: Wine
Version: CVS/GIT
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: winex11.drv
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: giuseppe.bilotta(a)gmail.com
Recently WINE broke The Bat! (mail application) by making it absolutely
impossible to use: as soon as the program loads, its main window disappears,
and it's impossible to bring it back. If the program is configured to always
keep its icon in the system tray, it's still possbile to access a very minimal
set of functions from it (e.g. it's possible to shut down the program without
killing it).
Git bisect shows the bug to be caused by commit

In the signin window when entering email address pressing tab should switch to

to the control after this (the remember me box), continued tabbing will always
skip the password box.
A similar thing happens on the My Identity window, skipping the status line box
and only switching between the nickname and change controls.

msg.c:6103: Test succeeded inside todo block: Alt press/release: marked
"todo_wine" but succeeds
I've been seeing this failure for quite a while and been skipping past it.
Just reproduced it in today's git. I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy 32-bit. Did a "rm
-rf ~/.wine && wineprefixcreate" immediately before the test. I'm running on a
'bare' X server (nothing but xterm), and winecfg is set to not allow managed
windows. If I reconfigure it to use a virtual desktop, the test failures go
away but the succeeding todo_wine remains.
Let me know if there's more information I can provide.

Summary: Regression in comctl32 preventing startup of easyC Pro
and .NET Framework 2.0 installer
Product: Wine
Version: CVS/GIT

Output from the .NET Framework 2.0 installer
On the latest 0.9.55 release, easyC Pro and the .NET Framework 2.0 installer
hang after being started with wine easyC_Pro_3109.exe and wine dotnetfx.exe
respectively. These issues were not exhibited in 0.9.54. A Git bisect revealed
the regression in question to be:
commit 53c6cdf918e10305f19e74e003fc4d2311ed556f
Author: Rob Shearman <rob(a)codeweavers.com>
Date: Thu Jan 31 14:47:03 2008 +0000
comctl32: Get the background colour in ANIMATE_PaintFrame, instead of just
in WM_PAINT.
This fixes the rendering of transparent animations when using a
background thread.
Invoking strace on the applications shows the app hung in a read() call, and
relay traces seem to indicate a hang in SendMessageW. While the easyC
application always hangs, the .NET Framework exhibits intermittent failures,
from failing with a critical section wait failure, to normal startup.
This bug may be related to bug #11488.

Summary: wine locks up during WoW play
Product: Wine
Version: CVS/GIT

Status: UNCONFIRMED

AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org

I had some hardware trouble due to ram, and after spending a few weeks on the
badram patches I bought 2GB of nice new ram. The new stuff passes hours of
memtest86 and hours of kernel compile loops so my hardware is basically sound
(for a while at least. knock on wood).
Ever since my ram troubles I have had wine problems (Well WoW problems (which
is what I use wine for)). I proceeded to recompile all the packages on my box
(emerge -e world, emerge -e wine for those who are familiar with Gentoo) using
the same setup I have been using for years now (same cflags and such). I always
grab wine via git and I am current as of this morning.
The issue is a freeze in full-screen while playing WoW the error looks as

Wine-dbg>
I am not at all familiar with debugging wine; just thought I would put this out
there in case anyone else is having problems.
If anyone sees that I am doing something wrong please let me know. I tried to
rebuild everything and repair WoW (Repair.exe checks checksums to verify wow
data) in case the bad memory had screwed up bits on my hard drive, but my
problems persist.
Preemptive Thanks,
-Ian
p.s. seems to happen randomly after a bit of play... taking anywhere from 5 -
50 minutes.
