Rogue Spear worked OK before this patch using FBO. There where some visual
artefacts with the mouse cursor. Now starting a mission takes ages in the
tactical menu and the visual problems are the same with and without FBO like
before _without_ FBO. Please advice what infos are needed.

Hi, this game crashes (as another too that i forgot) in fglrx.dri.so. Allthough
that might point to buggy driver, the bug was introduced between wine-0.9.26
and wine-0.9.28. So the game used to work (albeit with graphical glithches, but
hey what would you expect from an A(ll).T(extures).I(nvisible) card....)
If i have time i'll do a regression test

I've found an odd frequent performance bug with CS 1.6 and other HL based
games. The FPS drops from 80+ to 15-20 every other second so one second I got
good fps the other it drops down to 15-20 and back again. I recently discovered
that it is related to the Steam menu somehow, cause if it's minimized there are
no problems but when the menu is running in the background I get this odd fps
drop every second ummm second....
Running it on:
Kubuntu 8.04 + wine 1.0.0

Windows. The only console output error was: "fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW

Installed the 1.31 client from the official website, installed and ran with
Wine. Did nothing special. My personal guess: Dawnspire uses some way to detect
compatible graphics devices that Wines doesn't support yet.

It appeared that FASMW (flat assembler's Win32 IDE) won't run with WINE
(launching from Konqueror), simply nothing happens.
But out of curiousity I tried launching it from the already running WinRAR.
And it did ran! Normally.
Something to consider about.
And other thing which maybe connected.
µTorrent runs normally (again, launching from Konqueror), but when I launched
from WinRAR some weird thing occured: the gridlist window where torrents are
listed was in black colour (normally it's standart white).
That's all I guess.
In hope that you will solve the FASMW issue,
Regards.

In Portal, there is a severe slowdown most times when looking into an open

There are a lot of these messages:
fixme:d3d_texture:IWineD3DTextureImpl_PreLoad Texture (0xf2d8050) has been
reloaded at least 20 times due to WINED3DSAMP_SRGBTEXTURE changes on it's

If I comment out the reloading code the slowdown is gone, but that causes the
elliptical part of the wall behind the portal to be brighter when it's opening.
Card is Nvidia 8800GTX, driver 169.12.

WINEDEBUG=warn+opengl,+wgl,+x11drv fails with a GLX error
I've noticed this bug for several months now, and can't remember exactly when
it started. Basically, I am running World of Warcraft using both Wine and Mesa
from their respective git repositories. My PC is a dual P4 Xeon machine, with
hyperthreading enabled, so that I have four virtual CPUs. I am using a Radeon
9550 graphics card.
When I run WoW in OpenGL mode, then one of three things happens:
a) WoW completely fails to start, and reports this error:
X Error of failed request: GLXBadDrawable
Major opcode of failed request: 156 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 5 (X_GLXMakeCurrent)
Serial number of failed request: 586
Current serial number in output stream: 586
b) WoW runs fine(-ish), albeit slowly. (But maybe that's just Mesa's R300
support)
c) The entire X server crashes, and the Xorg.0.log file reports a SIGSEGV while
calling __glxDeassociateContext.
So assuming that I don't crash the X server first, I can eventually get WoW to
start just by trying to run it again and again. It sounds like there might be
some hideous sort of race condition in the context-handling code.

To approach bug #10490 I built Wine from a current git and added a few trace
statements to ./dlls/opengl32/opengl_norm.c:
void WINAPI wine_glViewport( GLint x, GLint y, GLsizei width, GLsizei height )
{
GLint params[2];
TRACE("(%d, %d, %d, %d)\n", x, y, width, height );
ENTER_GL();
glGetIntegerv(GL_MAX_VIEWPORT_DIMS, params);
TRACE("Viewport is: %d %d\n", params[0], params[1]);
glViewport( x, y, width, height );
glGetIntegerv(GL_MAX_VIEWPORT_DIMS, params);
TRACE("Viewport is: %d %d\n", params[0], params[1]);
LEAVE_GL();
}
Obviously, glViewport, as used by Catia, is a no-op. See the last few lines in
the attached log:
trace:opengl:wine_glViewport (0, 0, 852, 862)
trace:opengl:wine_glViewport Viewport is: 4096 4096
trace:opengl:wine_glViewport Viewport is: 4096 4096
No matter what's given to glViewport, ths port's size remains a lot bigger than
the screen is (1280x1024 pixels). Catia is running inside a window and 852x862
should be the size of the OpenGL view inside this.
I filed this bug in the hope it rings a bell somewhere and/or somebody has an
idea how to find out what's missing here. This is an Intel G31 graphics running
Ubuntu 8.04. Other (native) OpenGL apps run fine.

FL Studio has within it a plugin called Synthmaker (sometimes referred to as
FLSynthmaker to distinguish it from the standalone product of the same name).
Get the FL Studio demo here: http://www.flstudio.com/documents/download.html
Once inside the demo of FL Studio go to menu Channels-->Add One-->Synthmaker.
The Synthmaker plugin opens a window that has it's own set of menus and a
graphical editor in which components are drag/dropped, wires connected, etc.
The bug is that clicking the left mouse button on those menus and graphical
objects produces no effect/response. Note also that the menu bar buttons
themselves are supposed to exhibit roll-over behaviour but do not (possibly a
different bug).

Summary: windows not setting focus when a user selects a program
Product: Wine
Version: CVS/GIT
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: msclrhd(a)gmail.com
1. Open an application (e.g. notepad)
2. Enter some text into it (e.g. "Hello")
3. Use Ctrl+Tab (in Ubuntu) to go to a different application
4. Use Ctrl+Tab to go to the application opened in [1]
The edit control should get the focus, but is not. That is, it does not have
the blinking edit cursor, and doing things like pressing Ctrl+A don't work.
Other applications I have seen this in:
* Cepstral SwiftTalker (http://www.cepstral.com/downloads/)
* WinMerge (http://winmerge.org/)

Summary: Office 97 installer fails with "unable to
open...Off97Pro.stf'
Product: Wine
Version: CVS/GIT
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: Installer
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
It worked several days ago, but today on a fresh hardy update
and a fresh wine from git or 0.9.59 from hardy apt-get install, it
fails quickly with
Setup is unable to open the data file 'C:\~MSSETUP.T\~msstfof.t\Off97Pro.stf';
run Setup again from where you originally ran it."
This happens even though I can read the file Off96Pro.stf on the
cdrom. Oddly, adding +file or running under strace gets past that
-- but as soon as you enter your license key, it pops up again.
Copying that file manually right before entering the license key
gets a bit further, but not too much.
Other apps (PS 7, PS CS2) install fine.

Under Wine 0.9.59 (sorry for the version tag, it stops at 0.9.58), trying to
save a game in Baldur's Gate TotSC 1.3.5512 makes the game stop with the info
box:
Save game failed, do you wish to quit ?
Yes (quit) No (returns to the game)
Same problem on a clean install with a clean .wine, with another save slot,
with a new game.
No wine errors are printed on the console.
