There is no in-game way of changing this resolution either. I have found that I can change the games resolution by alt-tab out of the game and set the desired resolution in nvidia x server configuration tool and then alt-tab back into the game. I use Kubuntu (Kde) and this way of fixing the problem has been reported by another user not to work with his gnome desktop. We are both at version 7.10 of (K)Ubuntu. It is possible to type the post without problems. As far as I can tell, the problem occurs when doing something other than continuing to type, or pasting -- most recently, I attempted to hilight some text, and crash. By "crash", I mean the game (running in a 1024x768 desktop window) stops responding entirely, and the log seems to indicate that some process died. Note: Nexus works flawlessly with version 0.9.40 -- it has no bugs that Nexus itself doesn't when running under Windows, and, in fact, is often more stable than on Windows. I'll add regression tests and logs soon... The game is otherwise usable, as far as I can tell. For now, I will compose in a separate window, and paste into Nexus. Every version I have tried since 0.9.40 has had problems. I believe the game would not even run until 0.9.62, and this bug does happen in 1.0-rc1. This breaks setups where several users share a common wine prefix (e.g. to make applications that make heavy use of the registry available to several users without installing them several times) and they have the right access to the configs through group permissions. Unless I'm overlooking a better way to do this, it would make more sense to check proper permissions than to check ownership. This is a full legit version. Previously, clicking on the Install button worked (most of the time) to install Acrobat Pro 6; now it does not. But after a couple of seconds it exits without an error message. I'm not sure what is causing it to close, but most of the fixme's show up right as mozybackup disappears from the process list. I've attached a log of the console output. Any ideas? The installer used is any msi-based installer named "InstallAware" that adds a lot of things to msi, like 7zip compression (and apparently avi playback). A trial can be downloaded here: http://www.codegear.com/products/radstudio. When opening a menu of the developer studio, the menu items with arrows (that open submenus) are not displayed correctly. The triangular arrows on the right end will stick out of the menu popdown area. I'm not sure if they just stick out to the end of the "shadow" (3d effect) around the popdown, or sometimes more. In order to make DirectDraw feature complete we need this ability. It is used in media players (in a lot of cases through quartz 'DirectShow') to improve rendering performance. A free application that attempts to use it in directx mode (the default option) is VLC. Further Picasa seems to need it too and their special Wine branch supports video overlay using Xv but in a hacky way. It is relatively easy to add a software implementation to DirectDraw/WineD3D but it would be slow. For best performance and less reinventing the wheel we need to implement overlay using Xv. The most tricky part would be on how to access Xv from within wined3d. Reproducible: always. GIT version of WINE from a few moments ago. Autocad 2008 (Polish, full) installation crashes. Full log attached. Ubuntu 8.04. Wiped .wine directory. "sudo sysctl -w vm.mmap_min_addr=0" applied to get around bug 12516.
