Topdraw always considers that the first combo item is selected, no matter what one selects. If one selects to save as wmf, the apps alerts that the file extension does not match the file type. Note that this log is only relevant for wine 0.9.43. Before it also hanged sometimes, but the message err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7eb87ae0 "gdiobj.c: GDI_level" wait timed out in thread 000c, blocked by 0009, retrying (60 sec) wine: Critical section 7eb87ae0 wait failed at address 0x7ef97b20 (thread 000c), starting debugger... was not present. And before upgrade to 0.9.43 it had some problems with music, like randomly switching tracks etc (sometimes it hanged during these, sometimes not). This problem is especially noticeable during movement of the human models. This is on Ubuntu Hardy x86 32 bit with an nVidia GeForce 8800GTS 512MB (G92 chip), with nVidia driver 169.12. The problem did not go away when I disabled pixel shaders. The bug is that the file c:\windows\DieVölkerGold.ini is not created during installation. The wise installer / MSI report no error, yet running the game says it was not installed correctly: Call KERNEL32.GetPrivateProfileStringA(004bd5c8 "SearchPaths",004bd5d4 "HDD SearchPath",004c0ca8 "",004c2698,00000104,004c279c "C:\\windows\\DieV\xf6lkerGol d.ini") ret=00493885 Running msiexec by hand in order to produce a log file shows, among other log messages: $ msiexec '/l*' foo.log /i d:\\setup\\setup.msi [...] Action 22:57:22: WriteIniValues. Schreiben von INI-Dateiwerten Datei: Version, Abschnitt: Info, Schlüssel: Version, Wert: v3.0 Datei: HDDSearchPath, Abschnitt: SearchPaths, Schlüssel: HDDSearchPath, Wert: C:\Programme\Games\Voelker\ which seems to indicate that the correct calls were made to have the file created. Turns out you can download a trial from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9253DBEA-CC4F-4934… sha1sum is d617c41f3b252b3689ff22623dd1c3f3da1282fb OfficeCommunicatorEVAL.EXE Oddly, when you run that .exe in wine, it says "Extracted" but doesn't go on to run the installer. Maybe this is a bug, but I skipped over it by just using cabextract to unpack it, and ran the .msi with start.
