Summary: problem with widl 1.0.1
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: Thomas.Haag(a)compart.net
Hi there,
when using widl on an idl file like: widl ./File.idl
-I /usr/include/wine/windows/
I get the following error-message:
/usr/include/wine/windows/oaidl.idl:121: Error: parameter 'pvData' of
struct 'tagSAFEARRAY' cannot derive from void *
Maybe I'm just not using the program correctly. I'm trying to port a
windows app to linux. Naively I'm just running widl on the ms-idl-files.
(because the output of midl does not compile)
I'm looking very much forward to any help
Greetings
Thomas

Summary: winecfg: You don't have a drive C. This is not so great.
Product: Wine

START!
run winecfg
When I click on the Drives tab, a popup message says:
"You dont have a drive C. This is not so great."
"Remember to click 'Add' in the Drives tab to create one!"
At the same time, this message appears in the terminal:
"err:winecfg:open_mountmgr failed to open mount manager err 2"
When I click Add it adds the mapping ../drive_c to the letter C:.
When I click Apply, the message again appears in the terminal:
"err:winecfg:open_mountmgr failed to open mount manager err 2"
The next time I run winecfg, all of the above happens again from the START!

Terminal errors for A Vampyre Story Demo on 1.1.18
When I run the A Vampyre Story Demo the game crashes imediatly.
I don't understand the errors in the terminal but I'm guessing it's something
to do with the line:
wine: Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x000003d0 at address 0x2a22b74
I've attached a copy of the terminal errors.

Summary: Joypad issues in Wine applications with Multi-tap USB
devices

I have an adapter that supports the Sega Genesis Multi-tap that allows up to
four Sega Genesis Pads to be used on a single USB Port. It works fine under
Linux, Not completely. Something is wrong.Under Linux, the device shows up as a
Single Joystick device with 8 axis, and 32 Buttons. Not Four Joysticks. Now the
real Windows separates this multi-tap into different joypads.
it uses standard Linux HID Device drivers.
Wine seems to recognize all the buttons, but only the first set of Axis' work.
(So players 2 though four can't use Up, Down, Left, Right.
Linux native applications seem to have no problem.
You can learn more about the device here.

Thanks, Clark
P.S. - what's best 'search' method for id'ing if something is already reported?
I'm grabbing what I think are interesting snippets from console, and pasting
into bugzilla - search. So far, haven't seen any 'exact' matches. Other -
better way to do this??? (I'm a linux/wine newbie...) And are there other
debug info, or command line args that would help?

In Warhammer 40k : Dark Crusade (and also confirmed at Dawn Of war - they're
using the same engine. So I believe the bug is applied to Winter Assault and
Soulstorm as well). The first pixel line doesn't render correctly resulting not
being able to read it easy especially in high resolutions.
