Product: Wine

Platform: PC

Basic log
In Bricscad, some panel items are not correctly displayed.
Wine says:
err:toolbar:TOOLBAR_GetImageListForDrawing bitmap for ID 0, index 0 is not
valid, number of bitmaps in imagelist: 0
and some toolbar icons are just not drawn. Also, the line separators are always
vertical (even in vertical bar). This does not happen on Windows version, so it
could be a bug.
I'd like to help, but I don't have any idea where could be the problem.
A complete log is attached (run & move panel & exit).

If focus is switched to another application, Visma Skatt freezes when focus is
regained. As of 0.9.59 this also happened when focus returned to main window
from application child windows, but as of 0.9.61 it only happens when focus
returns from another application.

Summary: The virtual desktop should be resizable
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: wine-tools
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: thedamocles(a)gmail.com
When running using a virtual desktop, Wine create a window with a fixed size
(for example 640x480). And when the application running requires another
resolution, the size of the virtual desktop changes.
But the window itself (which contains the virtual desktop) is unmaximisable and
unresizable. For some old games that require an old resolution it would be
convenient to be able to resize and maximise the window of the virtual desktop.
The virtual desktop itself (inside the window) should just be put in the center
of the window with some black border. Only the window should resizable.
Then, we could be able to run application with a false fullscreen resolution
with the virtual desktop in the center of the screen using (for example) the
function "toggle fullscreen mode" of Gnome.
It would even be better to add an option "Run Fullscreen" to the virtual
desktop of winecfg to run this false fullscreen. The expected result being to
have a black screen in front of everything (panel, other windows) and the
virtual desktop put in the center.

Summary: Ability to move test results to another version of the
same app
Product: WineHQ Apps Database
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: appdb-unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: kennybobs(a)o2.co.uk
"Move child objects" option moves all objects in an app version to another
version, but it would be useful for app maintainers to move single test
results, as some are added to the wrong version.
For example:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=8235&iTestingI…
would do better to be moved to
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=15685
because of bug 16543 giving one version a platinum rating and another a garbage
rating.
There are many other examples, and this would save having to reject the test
and asking the tester to resubmit to the correct version.

This is what winecfg looks like:
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/19841385/Wine%20Font%20Issue.png
Upgrading from Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10 caused this. The only relevant difference I
can spot in the Wine package is that it went from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1, however I
suspect that the problem here is some underlying library. But which one?

Summary: City of Heroes segmentation fault during gameplay

log to segfault with warn+all
After changing / loading zones several times, City of Heroes segfaults. I
don't think it's happening for everybody, but it's repeatable on two different
systems of mine (and at least one other user in the appdb). I'm not entirely
sure how to help debug this - running debug with +relay never makes it to the
login screen (or at least for the amount of time I've waited). I ran it with
warn+all and that's attached, but I don't know how useful that is.
It always segfaults while the game is outputting to the console "loading
novodex shapes"
Steps to recreate:
1. Load City of Heroes from the launcher or via CityOfHeroes.exe -project coh
2. Load any character and change zones / enter missions / etc several times (it
seems to happen villain side much more frequently - usually only takes about 4
or 5 loading screens - possibly because the zones are more graphics saturated?)
3. Segfault
System specs (both my laptop and desktop are similar):
Ubuntu 8.10, Intel c2d, 4gb RAM, Nvidia 7600 GT (laptop has some mobile Nvidia
8xxx), Nvidia driver version 180.11

Summary: Adobe Photoshoop CS4 installer fails
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.6
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: Installer
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: shdocvw
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
With today's wine from git, three problems keep photoshop cs4 from installing.
First, it downloads gecko, but hangs afterwards; you have to ^C and
restart the installer.
Second, dialogs are often painted with three-quarters of the content missing,
and the remaining quarter misplaced. Moving the dialog offscreen and back
on usually fixes this. So this is both a showtopper for the
average user and a cosmetic problem.
Third, the very first dialog that is shown is mostly blank. Jacek
knows why: our gecko engine is out of date, and can't handle negative
values on some css properties. He came up with a simple workaround:
when this happens, kill the installer (with wineserver -k),
then edit
.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Common
Files/Adobe/Installers/d6da2ba33e237f559e70b443726029b/resources/media/css/main.css
and replace the line
z-index:-10;
with the line
z-index:0;
That's easy to do by cd'ing into .wine and applying the attached
patch with "patch -p0".
After that, the installer runs successfully to completion.
(It uses 350MB of RSS; anyone know how much RAM it uses on Windows?)

Some (many) games have now stopped working, showing the following when trying

L"C:\\Games\\Starcraft\\StarCraft.exe" failed, status c0000142
The layout is the same for each one, i.e. Battlefield 2 fails the same way, but
instead with MSCVRT7.1.dll instead of Storm.dll (but other than that the
message is identical).
Dimity's test (which fixed this) was to comment out lines starting Fls*
(FlsAlloc etc.) in the kernel32.spec file before compiling.

Annotated trace
I've installed Civ IV 1.61 + NOCD with wine 0.9.45. Installation worked, but
the program wouldn't start.
Now with 0.9.46, the program still fails to start but with another error
message.
I've included a trace as an attachement. I've also included a screenshot of the
error message that pops up.
I'm running with the lowest possible settings in the games graphics, I have a
256MB graphics card and I've tried to set Video RAM in regedit to both 64MB and
256MB.
