Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: l-e.englund(a)bredband.net
Photoshop Elements Editor 7 pops up an error message after started up from
"Photoshop Menu". The message is as follows:
The program PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe has encountered a serious problem and
needs to close.
After clicking "Close" the program run as it should. One observation is that
the fan is running at high speed as long as the pop window is open. The pop up
window is annoying, but not stopping the application.
I'm new to wine, but not computers. Wine 1.1.22 is running on to of Ubuntu 9.04
on Dell laptop, 5150.
I hope that the attachment will help you.
Regards
Lars-Erik

Summary: Add Wine 1.0.1 back to the appdb
Product: WineHQ Apps Database
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: source
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: appdb-unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org

Ubuntu users are selecting any version they feel like when sending test
results.
The majority are still using 1.0.1 because that's what's in the Ubuntu
repository. This is the version that is designated "stable" after all.
Having to reject a lot of test results for this.
Given the latest Wine is 1.1.22 at WineHQ, and the latest in Ubuntu is 1.0.1,
I'm finding it hard to believe they are all using 1.1.17.
This obviously invalidates the test results a bit, as regressions could be
missed until the next "stable" release.

A workaround to override this font with a newer version was added to winetricks

Summary: Wine gecko crashing after update
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.22
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: diafero(a)arcor.de
Whenever I fetch the latest wine source (that is, whenever there is a new
version), after doing the usual steps and finishing with "sudo make install", I
have a strange problem: Uru - Complete Chronicles crashes as soon as the
program launcher window appears. Directly starting the main game (without the
launcher) still works fine. I suspected the gecko engine of being at fault, and
indeed removing c:/window/gecko fixes the issue (of course, the HTML rendering
in the launcher does not work any longer then). When I let wine install the
engine again, the problem comes back. I have no other application using the
gecko HTML engine so I can not test if it is a problem specific to this game.
I have that issue since I updated my system to Kubuntu 9.04. The update to wine
1.1.21 was the first one I had this problem with, but strange enough, it
somehow fixed itself. Now with 1.1.22, I have the issue again, and could not
yet fix it (perhaps the next reboot will bring that). I have no clue if it can
somehow be that there are still old versions of some libraries used and some
linking cache has to be updated - "sudo make uninstall && sudo make install"
did not help.

It isn't. You have to handle the flag yourself.
