Summary: Stop emails being sent to user making changes
Product: WineHQ Apps Database
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: appdb-unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: kennybobs(a)o2.co.uk
When making changes of any kind to an application, an email is sent.
In Bugzilla, if you are the one making the changes, there is an option to not
receive the email.
Can this be added to the AppDB?

Update test looks OK to me. Before sending it needs either a fix committed
first, or adding todo_wine in appropriate places of the test.

Why is this bug not marked as a regression because it used to work with older
versions of Wine?
--- Comment #60 from Saulius K. <saulius2(a)gmail.com> 2009-05-15 04:36:07 ---
Zdeněk, it's probably because no one could report the exact version of Wine.
--- Comment #61 from Saulius K. <saulius2(a)gmail.com> 2009-05-15 04:51:05 ---
I meant the version which works OK in this regard.

Reference fix for problem. It was a patched version of Wine 1.1.10. The patch
may or may not still work with later releases of Wine.

This code appears in several bugs. I don't have the ability to combine them
all into one bug report:
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_CreateSwapChain The app requests more than one
back buffer, this can't be supported properly. Please configure the application
to use double buffering(=1 back buffer) if possible
I just updated a different bug with this phrase in it for dOOm.

Summary: Graphical glitches on Ricochet Xtreme... due to triple
buffering?
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.17
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P4
Component: directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: manwesulimo2004(a)yahoo.co.uk
Ricochet Xtreme works great on Wine 1.1.17.
However there is a bit of a glitch which occurs: When sprites move too quickly
they leave seem to leave a trail. This may have to do with triple buffering.
Here is some output from my console:
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_CreateSwapChain The app requests more than one bac
k buffer, this can't be supported properly. Please configure the application to
use double buffering(=1 back buffer) if possible
A trial version of the game is downloadable from the following link:

updated test
Updated test acoording to dmitry's comments, thanks for that. Peter ,(if test
is ok) , you could take the test, update your patch (only remove the four
flags mentioned before) and send it for review to wnie-patches.

As far as I can see, '$shtdwn$.reg' is not prefixed with a dot or anything, so
that can't be the problem here... Right?

The problem is the installer expects the file to be hidden, in the Windows way,
e.g., not a '.', but given the hidden attribute, which Wine does not support.
