Eagle crash debug listing
Cadsoft's Eagle 3.55 schematic entry and PC board layout program crashes when
switching between schematic entry and board layout screens. Sometimes also
when maximizing those windows. Ideally the application should swap between the
two windows whenever the "switch views" icon is clicked. An early version of
Wine (0.9 era) failed to do that, but at least it didn't crash, and a work
around was to bring up the desired window from the task bar. Newer Wine
releases just crash the application no matter how the windows are swapped. The
reported error is:
The instruction at 0052283f referenced memory at 00000008
The memory could not be read from
Though there are newer versions of Eagle, 3.55 was very popular and somewhat
easier to use than later versions. The copy I have is a licensed version that
does larger circuit boards, though the problem seems to exist with the freeware
version too.
Thank you for any help you can offer.

Summary: replayed keys when playing with a joystick
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.24
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ben(a)mesman.nu
When playing Trackmania United Forever with a Logitech Rumblepad 2 I sometimes
get the problem that some keyboard or joystick events gets replayed after a few
seconds in a race (2-15 sec.)
The replayed event can be anything: [space], starting a conversation, [esc],
[button-2], ...
The problem only accurs when using evdev. If I disable evdev for the joystick
(by removing the relevant /dev/input/eventx entry) and use joydev instead, I
don't get the same error.
(Maybe this is the same problem as bug 18999, but I was not sure based on that
description)

Summary: OPA uses the process id/thread id to generate "random"
temp filenames
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.46.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: mikolaj.zalewski(a)gmail.com
But if there is no Wine program running in the background then we start a clean
server each time and these number are always the same. OPAS handles very badly
if there is a lot of temporary files from the same "namespace" already and
after killing the program five times (so that it cannot clean the files on
exit) it will refuse to start.
A workaround is to clean the C:\Windows\Temp or to keep a program running in
the background so that the pids are each time different. I'm also not sure if
the problem is in OPAS or in the Visual FoxPro runtime - the error 1410 that
appears is a MS defined error code (

Summary: Imperium Galactica, Solarian Campaign, Crashes
frequently
Product: Wine

Wine 1.0-rc3 crashlog for Imperium Galactica 2, 20080602 @ 01:24am local
When going to either the Spying or Trading views in the Solarian Campaign for
Imperium Galactica 2, wine claims something is getting held at level 3 and that
a deadlock should be expected, then crashes and offers a "sorry" popup which
doesn't appear on screen since the game's graphics 'cover' it.
Hence it's unreadable. The deadlock etc is only shown in the konsole when
running ig2.exe through it.
The bug can be recreated by running the Solarian Campaign and switching between
Spying and Trading screens, or even by switching from the Starmap to either of
the two.
Another freak occurance along the same lines can be recreated by going to the
Spying screen from the Starmap and trying to give the spy (there's only one in
the beginning) a training mission before he's moved up front properly yet.
(i.e. the 'disc' with available spies is still turning.)
The Kra'hen campaign (which does not have the Spying OR Trading screens)
doesn't have an issue with Wine and is playable without any errors as far as I
can tell. (I sorta died a long way into the Campaign after the Solarian Fleet
decimated my own... time and again.. >_>)
I have yet to try the Shinari Campaign, but will see if the problem with the
Spying/Trading screens persist there. I do believe they have these screens,
with the Kra'hen being the only exception to the rule because of them being a
warloving race.

terminal.
After the upgrade to Wine 1.1.8, I joined a game of DotA (my usual use for
W3:TFT) which caused the game to crash. I grabbed a screenshot of the crash
screen and the output to the terminal window, which I will attach.

Summary: Error message "Module not found" should be more
obvious
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.21
Platform: PC

Keywords: integration
Severity: normal
Priority: P2

ReportedBy: scott(a)open-vote.org
On multiple occasions, I have seen users open a terminal and attempt to run
their application by typing something like "wine itunes.exe"
Wine then looks in the current folder (where it isn't), then looks in its
system32 folder (where it also isn't), and then outputs this message:
wine: could not load L"C:\\windows\\system32\\itunes.exe": Module not found
I suggest changing this error message to something clearer based on what the
typical error here, something like:
wine: could not load "itunes.exe": the specified program was not found in the
current directory
This message is more specific to the problem, and more importantly it tells the
user (even a clueless new terminal user) that they need to change the current
directory. So rather than saying "Wine's broken" and making a bad post on a
forum/bug tracker, they'll instead look up how to change a directory in the
terminal.
