Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal

Component: msi
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: natoforce(a)gmx.net
The Warhammer 40k Dawn of War installer does not ask when using latest git
(fresh .wine folder) for the CD key nor creates any reg keys after the
installation is finished, if i copy the reg keys manually to wine registry
after i exported them
from windows i can play online.
The Installer simply starts copying the files.

Camera view of a new level being drawn blatting everything else
As soon as I create or open a map (i.e. show any views of a map, even if
they're all 2D), Hammer's window appears mostly black, with one map view drawn
near the top left. The menu bar appears intact since 0.9.57. If I mouse over
the positions of some buttons in the toolbars, they are drawn. As soon as I
mouse over a view of the map, that view is drawn near the top left of the
window and the rest of the window turns black. Screenshots to be attached.
This was originally linked to bug 2398, but 0.9.57 fixes that and I still have
this problem. From comment 213 of bug 2398:
"According to Stefan Dosinger, Valve Hammer has a different kind of problem. It
renders to an oversized backbuffer and copies portions of it back to the main
window. So it is something else."

he was running Ubuntu in a virtual machine. I downloaded the app and found the

To reproduce, just download the installer and run it. The installer will get

shortly after it starts to install with a message from the app that the

The Jaman Player has
To reproduce, first work around bug 12221 by executing
http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/content.info.apple.com/QuickTime/06…
Then run the installer:
wine jaman-installer.exe
This fails with a usage message from msiexec. It seems that msiexec
is expecting GetCommandlineW to return a commandline starting with the
executable
name, but instead it gets one that starts with a space and then /i etc.
The /i is skipped (since msiexec is expecting argv[0] in that slot).
That sounds like the problem described here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/oldnewthing/archive/2006/05/15/597984.aspx
The process is created with
0009:Call KERNEL32.CreateProcessA(00140bb8

\"C:\\windows\\profiles\\dkegel\\Application Data\\jaman.com\\Jaman

ret=00405825
I'll attach a kludgy workaround that makes the installer happy;
it detects the situation by checking for commandlines that
start with a space and then a slash. Total kludge-o-rama,
we need to write a test for msiexec and see what it really does.

In Wine 1.1.24, Call Of Duty 4 has absolutely no graphical glitches, once Depth
of Field and Glow are disabled.
But since Wine 1.1.25, often there are glitches where post-processing seems to
be temporarily disabled for a few milliseconds, regularly. This results in
quick flashes and it makes it nearly impossible to play certain missions
(especially President Fulani-something cinematic, near the beginning).
Sometimes, the graphic post-processing is blur and again it flickers between a
blurred and a non-blurred image. Sometimes also the post-processing disabling
stick, and it only disappears when getting back to the menu (Esc) and back
again to the game (Esc again).

"When you start aplication , you have to
a) wait about 5 secounds ( black screen )
b) switch to different aplication ( ALT+TAB)
c) switch to Profesor Henry Slownictwo 3&4"
but it doesn't work with me or on higher versions of wine then 0.9.58.
The problem with a black screen has appeared since version 1.0.
As far as the Debian is concerned there's no problem as I could compile version
0.9.58. In Gentoo the developers told me that older versions won't be
supported. Additionally compiling "by hand" failed. But in my opinion it's a
bad approach to use many Wine instance at one time.
It would be kind of you to repair it so that higher versions of Wine run
Profesor Henry 5.0. :)
best regards,
Wojciech Ryrych

Torrents which take on the names of other torrents in the list after being
clicked on just so... Here are the steps:
1. Start with uTorrent showing more than one torrent in a list.
2. Select a torrent in the list.
3. Click once on that selected torrent's NAME FIELD. The field now becomes
editable.
4. Leave it editable, and select a different torrent by clicking anywhere that
other torrent's row.
5. The one JUST clicked on is now renamed to the same name as the FIRST one I
clicked on.
The link below relates to the forum discussion of the issue. I have tested the
scenario and reproduced the problem

All available versions under winecfg were tried with the same result. V9.58
allowed installation as windows 2003 or Vista so there appears to be a
regression.

If a Linux window is set to On Top, it will not be able to be on top of a Wine
window set on top
I was installing War Rock and since its Install window is so large, I wanted to
place my Open Office window on top of it. So I right clicked on my Open Office
window and set it to "Always on Top". To my surprise, the Open Office window
was still behind the War Rock install window.
