only .lnk files are created, not .desktop ones. My locale is ru_RU.UTF-8

Red Alert 3 Demo plays audio fine, but both the videos and the menus are all
black, no images are drawn except the custom cursor.
"winetricks directx9" makes no difference.
The game won't load with GLSL disabled.
My graphics card (Radeon 9200) is a bit underpowered, but the videos should
still play correctly, as they do in other games (although native DirectX9 is
sometimes needed).
Tried with 1.1.9 too but the problem is the same.

Screenshot of error
S103 Discovering Science is an Open University course application. It installs
Toolbook 5.0 in its own directory during installation.
Toolbook is launched from within the S103 application but immediately fails
with message:
"Failed initializing the book file manager. Make sure the file TB50NET.EXE is
available in your PATH. If failure continues, close other applications or
increase conventional memory."
This works fine under Windows XP.
Workaround is adding "C:\S103\TB50RUN;" to the PATH environment variable. Not
sure how to do this with .reg file, which would make the workaround easier.
Only output in the console is this:
fixme:hook:SetWindowsHookEx16 System-global hooks (7) broken in Win16
Installing Toolbook 5 separately does not help either (still a PATH problem).

There seems to be a issue when attempting to connect to a world of warcraft
account after doing the battle.net username conversion. There is a new
battle.net deal going on allowing you to link all your blizzard games to a
single account, which is a email address, after doing this each time I attempt
to connect to that particular world of warcraft account the game crashes and
displays a MS Visual runtime error. When attempting to connect to a regular
warcraft account, it is not a issue. As far as I know this is a issue with all
versions of Wine, I have attempted to try it on 1.1.25 and the Stable release
1.0.1. Thanks.

Summary: Taking too long to type Test Data results in
information being lost
Product: WineHQ Apps Database
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: appdb-unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: daniel.santos(a)pobox.com
I typed up a very lengthy Test Data report for Lord of the Rings Online only to
hit preview and be redirected to the login page, I presume due to a session
timeout. I logged in and it sent me back to the Add Test Data form with all of
my information gone!!!
Because arriving at this form used a POST and not GET (I presume that to be the
reason) attempting to return via my browser's history was also unsuccessful as
I was prompted that it would have to resubmit the form to display the page and
I agreed.
I set the initial severity to major, although I'm sure you guys have your own
measures for bug severity. The reason I did this is because it resulted in the
loss of about 30 minutes or more of work in detailing my test and results.
Many people who run into this error will not bother to submit a bug report, and
in fact, will probably just get frustrated and give up -- this is very bad.
Perhaps the number of times this has occurred can be ascertained by examining
the server logs and look for a URL pattern that indicates a submission of Test
Data where a session had expired.
I understand if you want to keep the session timeout low. But at a minimum,
the submitted data MUST NOT BE LOST, no matter what!

Hi,
I'm running Command and Conquer 3 Uprising since 1.1.22 in my Ubuntu 9.04
machine, using Wine official repositories Debian packets. Last Saturday, I did
a upgrade to 1.1.26, as usual, and the game stop working. It just freezes in
splash screen, without any error message displayed. To be sure, I downgraded to
1.1.25 and it backs to work normally.
I can't tell if others games are having the same kind of problems, but I think
it's very likely, maybe a problem with new feature "Faster bitmap stretching
using XRender".
If you need more information, please, contact me.
Thanks a lot,
Alexandre

Backtrace of crash when about to prompt for a username and password
Xenu is a website link checker that finds broken links. In general it installs
and works very well (so Silver).
It has the ability to check links that requires a username and password. When
it finds the first link like this, the application prompts the user for a
username and password. Under wine, it is at this point the application or wine
crashes. The window to prompt for username and password doesn't appear.
If you disable the prompting for username and password feature, the application
no longer crashes, it just notes that it couldn't check that link because
authentication was required.
So you can avoid crashes by disabling the 'Ask for password or certificate when
needed' option under 'Options' -> 'Settings'. This make the application very
stable, but of course you will not be able to check links that require password
access.
Backtrace attached.
Information about this free-to-use application, including download links are in
the App DB (URL on this bug).

Screenshot after 30 seconds playing
After upgrading to 1.1.24, I can't see any 3d models or graphics in this game,
2d menus/interface works, but remains on the screen when I start game in 3D.
All I can see is multiple copies of polygons filled with 1 or 2 textures, they
remain on the screen until some other polygon won't overlap them. Very few
polygons are actually drawn. Screenshots are attached.

Interface of the Metatrader, Market Watch Window - Table offset.
Upon opening terminal.exe
The Market Watch Window has the following issues.
1. Unable to repaint.
2. Symbol/Bid/Ask details seems to be offset to start from Ask Columns, and is
unable to shift. (Critical as the user cannot use the Market Watch Window to
see the spread between Bid & Ask price, and also unable to trade via Market
watch window.

Screenshot of ICS Viewer in Wine 1.0
With today's Git (wine-1.1.22-219-gfbb43c4), after running winetricks vcrun6
and installing the ICS Viewer, the ICS Viewer, spawned post-install, has
interface elements rendered inappropriately with scroll bars. The problem does
not occur with Wine versions 1.0 and 1.0.1, and a regression test showed:

Wine prior to acfb6ea210c92ef9ff41dc6828f9482e9c6d6516 did not show the

debug log
Hello!
I wanted to run Trader's Little Helper under Wine. In previous version(about
1.2.20 i think) it worked without any problems, but in 1.2.22 it doesn't work.
Debug log is in attachment.
My distro is Arch Linux.
Any chance to fix it?
Cya.

AutoGK crash +richedit trace
Tested in 1.1.21 and 1.1.22 on openSUSE 11.1.
AutoGK is a free, user-friendly front end for Avisynth and VirtualDubMod that
automates the encoding process. It needs native msvfw32 and mfc42u to encode
video in Wine, however, these overrides are not needed to start up the program
and reproduce the crash, which only occurs on closing the program.
To reproduce:
Download and install AutoGK. (Installing in a virtual desktop works best.)
Run it from the program directory.
Close the program by clicking the close button in the upper right corner.
AutoGK will crash, showing a dialog that says "Exception EAccessViolation in
module AutoGK.exe at 00001F1B. Access violation at address 00401F1B in module
'AutoGK.exe'. Read of address 00000000."
Using native riched20 solves the problem.
