Unable to reproduce in 1.1.26. I downloaded and ran the demo, and it launched
fine. (The speed issue in 7797 is still present, however)

The integrated media player seems to have a problem (wine 1.1.25), it refused
to play any media file, being mp3 files or video files (tried several different
codecs) or even jpg images. A "media error: error 0x80004005" message appears
(error number is different according to media type)
In console appears:
err:quartz:GetClassMediaFile Media class not found
fixme:win:LockWindowUpdate ((nil)), partial stub!
fixme:quartz:AMGetErrorTextA (80004005,0x33f9c8,255) stub
The connection worked fine for me, I could connect to any network, server or
web page.

Confirming with 1.1.26. Native cc580 shows some horizontal text, starting right
positions but horizontal, that's why only a small high part of a first
character is visible.

Using the Classic skin I can open the media library using ALT+L but not the
context menu. However, the entire program is heavily corrupted when I move
windows around, and the left pane of the media library doesn't repaint.

Installation now works perfectly in Wine 1.1.26. Running the game crashes with
a segfault. I'm going to attach a +relay log but I think the problem stems from
this part of it:
0009:Call KERNEL32.CreateFileA(0032fcac "C:\\Program
Files\\NFS/Global\\GlobalMemoryFile.bin",80000000,00000001,00000000,00000003,00000080,00000000)
ret=008df144
0009:Ret KERNEL32.CreateFileA() retval=ffffffff ret=008df144
There is no "Global" subdirectory (I installed to C:\Program Files\NFS)
although creating it manually doesn't help.

Using the tab method, the UI elements become and stay visible until the window
or parts of it are redrawn, e.g. by minimizing or using the context menu, which
results in a gray box where the context menu has been before.

The error message is miss leading, at least when you try to find the error

C:\\users\\Public\\Anwendungsdaten\\Google Updater\\error_info where you can
find the error 0x800705b4. This error can be found in the relay log:

The process tries hard to access the service gusvc. This is where i'm currently
stuck.

Why is this bug not marked as a regression because it used to work with older
versions of Wine?
--- Comment #60 from Saulius K. <saulius2(a)gmail.com> 2009-05-15 04:36:07 ---
Zdeněk, it's probably because no one could report the exact version of Wine.
--- Comment #61 from Saulius K. <saulius2(a)gmail.com> 2009-05-15 04:51:05 ---
I meant the version which works OK in this regard.

Reference fix for problem. It was a patched version of Wine 1.1.10. The patch
may or may not still work with later releases of Wine.
--- Comment #63 from James McKenzie <jjmckenzie51(a)earthlink.net> 2009-05-24 22:30:57 ---
This code appears in several bugs. I don't have the ability to combine them
all into one bug report:
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_CreateSwapChain The app requests more than one
back buffer, this can't be supported properly. Please configure the application
to use double buffering(=1 back buffer) if possible
I just updated a different bug with this phrase in it for dOOm.
