Summary: Multisampling / Anti-aliasing regressions
Product: Wine

ReportedBy: ape(a)ape3000.com
I updated my Wine from 1.1.21 to 1.1.25 and I got some regressions with
Multisampling / Anti-aliasing. With 1.1.21 it worked with all the
OffscreenRenderers, but on 1.1.25 the game crashes on start up if I enable
multisampling and use fbo or pbuffer. Backbuffer works, but it doesn't support
shaders so nicely (I prefer fbo with no AA). The game works nicely, if I
disable multisampling. I have no problems with other games on Wine.
I know I should do some regression testing, but I have no time currently and I
will have a holiday trip, so I can't do anything in a week. So please do
regression testing, if you notice the same bug.

Screenshot of the New User Wizard after the freeze
DNS10S installed and trained correctly until 4/17 or 4/20. Then something went
wrong with the New User Wizard.
When you click on DNS10S for the first time, you get the New User Wizard, two
screens that test microphone loudness and then sensitivity. Until recently it
worked well. Now loudness works most of the time, but sensitivity always
freezes up the program.
One thing I have noticed. There is a toggle button called Start/Stop Quality
Check. Right before the program freezes, the button changes from start to stop
all by itself, with no user input. I have included a screenshot.

The attached test program demonstrates the expected behaviour, it will pass if
launched from windows explorer and fail if run from the commandline.
Under wine, the expected explorer behaviour has been implemented in wine start
using the /Unix switch. It is almost correct, but is missing a space after the
quoted commandline.
The following test program demonstrates the expected behaviour and issues a
pass/fail message.
I've submitted a patch to correct this.

DrayTek Syslog, as the name suggests, is a Syslog reader for DrayTek routers.
It catches syslog (UDP 514) messages, filters and displays them.
However, under Wine, it doesn't seem to open UDP 514.
netstat -l doesn't show anything listening on the port.
Wireshark shows the computer sending an ICMP Port Unreachable back to the
router when a syslog message is sent.
There is no firewall or port filtering of any kind.
Not sure what traces would help here.
Syslog does recognise the NIC information and can detect the router. It also
correctly picks up open and listening ports, so it does appear to be
communicating with the stack.

I'm playing dark age of camelot with wine and would like to select to newer

When I enable pixel shaders from winecfg, DAoC crashed just after the character
selection screen is loaded.
I managed to get the crash dump from a terminal ( see atachment ).

I see. Didn't try it by myself. Yes, DAO is a rather old class set, was
replaced by ADODB I guess.

Sure :). Searching for it in native registry shows (XP SP2):
---
DAO.DBEngine.35
InprocServer32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\dao350.dll

Then I googled for DAO redistributable.
