Summary: ListView 'Range Check Error' in ImgBurn v2.5.0.0's
Disc Layout Editor window.
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.28
Platform: PC
URL: http://www.imgburn.com
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: lightning_uk(a)imgburn.com
v2.5.0.0 of ImgBurn has a new Advanced build mode interface known as the 'Disc
Layout Editor'.
Any 'rename' of an item you add/create within the listview on the right side of
that window will result in a range check error.
I'm unable to reproduce this issues on any real installation of Windows
(from Windows 95 -> Windows 7) so I can only assume it's something in Wine
(sorry!).

v2.5.0.0 of ImgBurn has a new Advanced build mode interface known as the 'Disc
Layout Editor'.
If you open the window at all (as in, 'full stop' and not even doing anything
with it) and then close the program, it'll crash with an access violation.
Open the program and set the 'Mode' to 'Build', set the 'Input' to 'Advanced'
and then click the big 'Show Disc Layout Editor' button. Once you've done that
and you attempt to close the program, it'll crash.
I'm unable to reproduce this issue on any real installation of Windows
(from Windows 95 -> Windows 7) so I can only assume it's something in Wine

$ wine Runasdate.exe
Click in the date box, on the year (2009). On windows, one click on it
highlights the entire year. Begin typing a new year (2001). On windows, 2009 is
immediately cleared, and 2001 put in its place. On wine, typing the last
character remains, so you get '92001'.
Additionally, the calendar selection tool is really buggy, but there are other
bugs for that, I think.
Of course, winetricks cc580 works around this.

Summary: RollerCoaster Tycoon: Rename dialog for attractions
not shown (but usable).
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.24
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: debian(a)carbon-project.org
In RollerCoaster Tycoon (here with installed Loopy Landscapes add-on) you can
rename attractions. When clicking the rename button a standard Windows text-box
dialog should pop up (a label telling you to enter the new name, an input line
and two buttons (ok and cancel)). The dialog is only visible for the briefest
moment and disappears then. If you start typing the new name, each key stroke
makes the text line visible for a very short time frame. Pressing enter then
applies the name. So the box seems to be generated and usable, but isn't shown.
Important note: the dialog is really a standard Windows dialog and not themed
for the game. It's a rectangular grey box with the above mentioned properties
(label, input field and buttons) and the blue window caption line at the top.
Testsystem:
- AMD Athlon XP (1.2 GHz)
- 1.5 GB RAM
- ATI Radeon R300 (with the radeon driver, v.6.12.2)
As nothing is logged to the console and I don't know which part of WINEDEBUG
would show something meaningful, I don't attach a log (WINEDEBUG=+all generates
a 800MB log). But if you tell me with what options I should try, I'll provide
the log ASAP.
Kind regards,
Kai Wasserbäch

Diablo's Videotest own log
A regression: Since July '08 (according to last comment stating that he uses
D3d), Diablo 2 seems to have become unable to properly detect D3d in its Video
Test. Only DDraw is offered. D3d however has the advantage that perspective
Rendering can be used. I'm sure this mode would work just fine if it actually
let me select it aswell.
See attachments for further info. Yes, I tried setting
VideoPci[Vendor|Device]ID in the registry to no avail.

Export HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSDTC\Security\XAKey under
windows.
Try import it under WINE by regedit - it fails because of key value.
Maybe file should be opened in binary format.

Summary: photosynth client won't present login dialog without
native msxml3
Product: Wine

Noticed somebody at
http://alexeysmirnov.name/blog/?p=230
saying Photosynth didn't work with Wine, so I gave it a shot.
The installer went fine. The client app launches ok, too.
Clicking on the log in text gives the error
XPath error : Undefined namespace prefix
xmlXPathEval: evaluation failed
exception LiveID.cpp(65) hr(0x80004005)
and doesn't bring up a login dialog.
You can work around this with
winetricks msxml3
(To try online viewing, you have to do 'winetricks firefox flash'
and go to photosynth.net with windows firefox. Didn't work for me
on my Compaq Presario R3000, it said "Required number of texture blend stages
(4) not supported". This affects a lot of graphics cards, see
http://getsatisfaction.com/livelabs/topics/required_number_of_texture_blend…
so perhaps that's not a wine problem.)

This is with a standard wine install, except for running with a native
