Summary: winecfg: no Wave Out Devices under ALSA Drivers
(M-Audio Delta)
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.32
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: marko.srebre(a)gmail.com
Winecfg shows no "Wave Out Devices" under "ALSA Drivers" section. I only get
"MIDI In Devices", "MIDI Out Device" and "Mixer Device" under the "ALSA
Drivers". Of course, sound doesn't work then in wine or in test.
Wine is compiled with alsa support, version is 1.1-32, but happens just the
same with older versions. I suspect the problem is specific to my M-Audio Delta
66 sound card. I use no sound servers or anything that may be restricting the
device. This card otherwise works flawlessly with every other application I am
using. Older version of wine would usually report something about missing
Master control, so I guess somethere there may be a problem, but not really
sure how to fix it.

Summary: Steam tray icon doesn't appear if panel hidden in
autohide mode
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.60
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: winex11.drv
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: rmuncrief(a)comcast.net
This bug may be related to the now closed bug 12362, but I've been asked to
file a new bug report for it. I am running Ubuntu Gutsy AMD64.
I've found that the Steam system tray icon doesn't appear correctly if the
bottom panel is in autohide mode and hidden.
If the panel is completely hidden (by using gconf-editor and setting
/apps/panel/default_setup/toplevels/bottom_panel/auto_hide_size to 0) A space
is created for it in the system tray, but right or left clicking over it does
nothing.
If the normal autohide setting of 6 is used then the leftmost icon in the
system tray will be duplicated, but it will function as the Steam system tray
icon. For example, my leftmost icon is Basket, so when I start Steam the Basket
icon is duplicated, but it fully functions as the Steam icon would.
However, if you hold your cursor over the panel so it's visible when Steam
starts then the tray icon appears and functions correctly. And of course if the
panel isn't in autohide mode the tray icon also appears correctly. So it
simply appears that if the panel is not fully visible when Steam starts, the
Steam system tray icon is not loaded correctly.

All the log.
I have attached a the game play.
The game's sound lags alot, and the game will start to freeze and lock up, it's
not a memory leak (from what I can see).
Do you think the Component d3d is causing both the issues? It could also be
dplay.

Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel doesn't work.
The game register and activate itself in the right way, but it seems there's a
problem with DirectX.
I didn't find a way to use opengl instead, maybe there isn't.
Attached the output, running wine sacred2.exe
Thanks,
Fausto

Summary: WSASend() fails when lpNumberOfBytesSent is NULL
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.26
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: winsock
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: arzwine(a)yahoo.com
WSASend() returns an error when lpNumberOfBytesSent (which is an output
parameter) is NULL. There is a condition in WSASendTo() in ws2_32/socket.c
which returns an EFAULT when lpNumberOfBytesSent is a NULL pointer.
While this makes sense, setting this argument to NULL is explicitly allowed by
the MSDN documentation, if the lpOverlapped parameter is present.
Not immediately clear how to fix this, since it involves checking how
overlapped i/o and i/o completion play out.
