archlinux x86_64, wine 1.3.0
Installation of dotnet20 via winetricks or by-hand fails.
dotnet20 complains about installing on a 64bit system and exit.
I tried recent winetricks, a lib32 winetricks version from archlinux AUR (don't
know if it makes a difference), removing .winetrickscache and ofcourse a fresh
wineprefix.
Any hints?
Thanks.

This bug is opened in launchpad as
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wine1.2/+bug/502375 . That bug report
pretty much sums up the issue. It may be something kernel/OS/Share
Library-specific, but it is only triggered by Wine (I've googled everywhere and
Wine is the only app reporting this error).
There was a previous bug report opened that was declared INVALID:
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22331
The reason, as you can see, is the user of the unsupported Pulseaudio patch.
Well, this error happens WITH or WITHOUT the said patch and it affects alsa.
Even with OSS selected, something inside aoss affects it and randomly causes it
to fail with the mmap() errors. Can it be Pulse? Can it be something else?
Since it's Wine-specific, I decided to open a bug report here as well.
This only happens in Ubuntu 9.10, AFAIK, and my biggest problem is that I do
not know what prints the "mmap()" message.
Thanks.

A lot of self-extracting archives let you specify where to extract the files.
This is the case for the CineBench R10 installer which is in fact a 7-zip
self-extracting archive. If you click on the [...] button you get a dialog
where you get to select the destination directory.
In this dialog you also have a 'Create New Folder' button (most likely
IDS_NEWFOLDER from dlls/comdlg/cdlg_En.rc). However this button has no effect.
You can get the CineBench R10 installer from the URL below to reproduce this:
http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1708
The bug is probably somewhere in dlls/comdlg/filedlg.c.

http://bugs.winehq.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=glUseProgramObjectARB
I believe all those bugs are related. In my opinion it should be considered to
set those as duplicates.
"err:d3d_shader:shader_glsl_select >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION
(0x502) from glUseProgramObjectARB @ glsl_shader.c / 4604"
Shows also in game "Chrome" with trees rendering problem.
I consider is this a wine-related bug or driver-related bug? Because I use
GeForce 7050PV. Maybe I've missed something, but I can see only NV users to
suffer from this bug.
