I do : #sh winetricks winxp #sh winetricks msxml3 During Installation, I have only this line for error : $ wine AVA-Trader-setup.exe fixme:shell:SHAutoComplete stub and when I launch the AvaTrader sofware, the program stop during the launch. That bug report pretty much sums up the issue. It may be something kernel/OS/Share Library-specific, but it is only triggered by Wine (I've googled everywhere and Wine is the only app reporting this error). There was a previous bug report opened that was declared INVALID: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22331 The reason, as you can see, is the user of the unsupported Pulseaudio patch. Well, this error happens WITH or WITHOUT the said patch and it affects alsa. Even with OSS selected, something inside aoss affects it and randomly causes it to fail with the mmap() errors. Can it be Pulse? Can it be something else? Since it's Wine-specific, I decided to open a bug report here as well. This only happens in Ubuntu 9.10, AFAIK, and my biggest problem is that I do not know what prints the "mmap()" message. This is the case for the CineBench R10 installer which is in fact a 7-zip self-extracting archive. If you click on the [...] button you get a dialog where you get to select the destination directory. In this dialog you also have a 'Create New Folder' button (most likely IDS_NEWFOLDER from dlls/comdlg/cdlg_En.rc). However this button has no effect. In my opinion it should be considered to set those as duplicates. I consider is this a wine-related bug or driver-related bug? Because I use GeForce 7050PV.
