Hello,
For uninstalling a program running on wine, we have to use the wine program
with "uninstaller" name. I propose to use a naming which better fits the wine
programs naming policy.
I searched this uninstaller for a while because I typed "wine" first in my a
console and I wanted my shell to propose all available programs like "winecfg",
"winecpp", etc.
If the uninstaller would have a name like "wine-uninstaller", then it would be
easier to find the uninstaller, without any documentation.

Application is Fugawi 4.5.
I had to override gdiplus.dll (-> native only), because of a lot of "Access
violation" windows. The application makes use of a lot of custom graphics, so I
think this one little override should be okay.
But I get an error window when importing maps (which is pretty essetial,
because Fugawi's main purpose it to display maps). Scanning for map files is
the last operation that works fine. A list of maps is shown. Then, in the next
operation, Fugawi tries to analyze/import the scanned map files. I think it
also wants to copy the files into another directory (yes, the current user is
able to write into that directory). Right after the very last map (no matter
which one), en error window says "OLE error 80004002". None of the maps have
been imported. Here's what wine tells me in the terminal:

The 12/28/2009 version of Kindle does not work. Ubuntu Forums (link above) has

on the front page fonts not showing properly unless the mode is set to Win98).
This issue was seen with both 1.0.1 as well as 1.1.35 in Ubuntu.

WINEDEBUG=+msxml wine aom.exe
When I set msxml4 to builtin in winecfg and start up Age of Mythology for the
first time there is a warning before the main game menu which says:
Title: Error Creating Fonts
Message: XML Parsing error in Fonts2.xml. No fonts will be loaded.
And there are really no fonts in the game then.
If I change msxml4 in winecfg from builtin to native (the native dlls get
installed during the game installation) then the fonts are shown correctly
ingame. When I know change msxml4 in winecfg from native to builtin again the
fonts are still shown correctly. This is because a file fonts2.xmb gets created
when I was running Age of Mythology with native dlls and this file now does not
need to be regenerated.
So it is the creation of the fonts2.xmb file which seems to fail with builtin
msxml4.

First error log
In the appdb it actually mentions PSP7 needs a bit of hacking to get going with
custom DLL's, but that is now inaccurate, PSP7 installs and runs no problem
without custom DLL's, except for the following...
When you try to insert text, the insert text window comes up, and as soon as
you start typing, PSP 7 hangs.
I ran the program from the terminal and attached an error log that was dumped
on the screen.
I then killed PSP 7, it returned to the terminal and another error log was
dumped on the screen straight after, I added that as a second attachment.
I am running Wine 1.0 RC5 (1.0 RC4 option was not yet in bugzilla) on Ubuntu
Hardy 64 bit from the winehq repository.
I am filing this under msvcrt, since this line in the error log caught my eye:

Other cursors, especially drag-and-drop cursors, are also affected.

Summary: 08/19/2010 Steam client update breaks many games

Version: 1.3.1

Component: wininet
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: byteframe(a)gmail.com
An update to the steam client (http://store.steampowered.com/news/4228) seems
to have broken many games.
I've posted a description of the problem users face in comments on the steam
appdb page here:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=19444#Comment-…
. Initially, I thought it was fixable by not using the -march=native CFLAG when
compiling wine, which seemed to make the games work.
Not everything was fixed, however. Zombie Panic: Source hangs on level load,
and Left4Dead will hang when you press tab to view the player list.
In either of these two instances, I noticed: "err:wininet:URLCache_FindHash
Error: not right hash table number (1) expected X" repeating endlessly (hanging
the game).
To be safe, I'm still abstaining from -march=native (which resolves to 'core2'
on my system), as I'm not certain if the use of that CFLAG is also affecting
this or was exposing a different problem.
Another user accurately states that you can use Steam's "Offline Mode" and
doing so fixes the problem.
Also, I tried adding a "return TRUE;" statement after the ERR in the
URLCache_FindHash function (thereby ending the loop) and that fixes the problem
with l4d and zps.
I'm not a wine hacker by any means, so I have no idea what's actually going on
in the code, but I think I've narrowed it down well enough. Thank you!

When I try to install the new beyond the sword patch (3.19) I get an error
like;

Which makes sense as the folder creates in c:\windows\temp is
'{A6DDB50F-18CA-4500-9968-D7EB5069AD42}' so it wouldn't be able to open the
non-existent temp folder '{086B718C-78A8-4F85-857B-EAFD6658B6E2}'.
I am using Ubuntu 9.04, and using the debs provided by winehq.

Log of crash with +relay in win98 mode
For some reason, the vb6 installer now crashes unless you run with +relay.
The console shows
Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000000 in 32-bit code
(0x00411799).
but because +relay works around the problem, it's hard to give a good log.
Running in win98 mode crashes at about the same time even with +relay,
I'll attach that log.

Summary: The Bat! v4.0.39.39 - build: 1.283: refuse to start -
because of 'Themida' warning

Platform: PC

OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3

Created an attachment (id=21764)

Themida false warning
Starting up the 'The Bat!' application causes suddenly an error (it don't let
it start) caused by a library inside 'The Bat!' called 'Themida'. This is to
protect the software against patches, cracking, debugging etc.
See URL: <http://www.oreans.com>.
This failure blocks the application to start.
The company behing 'The Bat!' -RITLabs SRL- is using this componets inside 'The
Bat!' since the v4.0.04.
My simple solutions was do override the 'thebat.exe' with a backup copy. Than
works like before. But in the past this message come again some time later
(weeks).
