Summary: Add torrents in webUI 0.362 with µTorrent >= 2.0
doesn't work
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.35
Platform: x86

OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2

webUI 0.362/0.361 / µTorrent 2.0 build 17668
Ubuntu Linux 9.10 32 bits / Wine v1.1.35 / Firefox 3.5.6 and Chromium 4.0.280.0
I try to add one torrent from webUI and it does nothing.
The Wine error:
fixme:file:ReplaceFileW Ignoring flags 2
Explanation:
This error is shown in the console every time I try to add a .torrent file via
WebUI while running µTorrent 2.0, but never when I'm running µTorrent 1.8.5.
What that means is that µTorrent 2.0 is using a Windows API (ReplaceFile with
the REPLACEFILE_IGNORE_MERGE_ERRORS flag), which Wine hasn't yet fully
implemented. As such, the right course of action is to file a bug report with
Wine and get them to fix the issue.

Summary: Tron 2.0 mouse trying to revert every user movement
Product: Wine
Version: 1.2-rc5
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: directx-dinput
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: NightNord(a)gmail.com
There is some strange problem with Tron 2.0 mouse look:
Symptoms: Every time you are moving camera for some degree to one side, it jump
back for a bit fewer degree to opposite side, resulting in hardly usable mouse
look.
There is some things I found about this bug:
1) Joystick interface has no such bug. I.e. it affects only _pointer_ devices.
2) If I'm running game in virtual desktop and mouse pointer initially was not
in game resolution space, it will stay visible and will reflect any movement,
including revert moves. I.e. game definitely trying to keep pointer stay still.
Maybe some hack like MouseWrapOverride=force, but on game side. (tested with
any possible mwo setting: disabled,enabled,force)
3) Setting pointer exactly in screen center or game-space center makes no
difference. (Pointer operations via xwrappointer program)
4) Xi2 patch making things even worse, but this issue still exists - Xi2 will
not help here.
In my opinion, game trying to reset pointer on it's pre-move position. Maybe
there is some special flag or whatever in native directx, so game later may
differ user-initiated mouse-move from itself-initiated one. And it seems that
wine not setting thig flag or whatever. Cons of such theory - game not trying
to revert own-initiated jump, so it seems to differ it anyway and revert
movement in depends on sensibility settings and may be much lesser than
original movement in some situations.
Also, there is appdb record about some 'DVD' version, which may have no such
problems. I'm trying to test specified versions, if this is some kind of
regression.
Currently known affected versions:
1.1.44, 1.2_rc5

If you print something on notepad, by default it displays the page number on
each page. In wine, however, instead of "Page 1", "Page 2" etc you get "Page
&p" on all pages.

Valve, as of yesterday, has introduced a major update that has broken the
application. When playing in an active game server --at sporadic times-- the
game will become unplayable with the framerate being under 10 FPS and the ping
climbing past 200ms. This is not due to hardware or network issues but the
application and WINE itself. The game continues to work normally for native
Windows users. A couple of other WINE users have reported this issue in TF2's
WINE AppDB comment section.

Summary: qemu.exe exhausts file descriptors (regression)
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86
URL: http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/qemu/qemu-0.
12.5.tar.gz
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Keywords: download, regression
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: mstefani(a)redhat.com
There is a regression in Wine triggered by qemu.exe:
wine client error:31: pipe: Too many open files
Good: wine-1.1.38
Bad: wine-1.3.0-166-g277040d
Steps to reproduce (courtesy of Kevin Wolf):
- Get the qemu source either from git or a release tar-ball; qemu-0.12.5.tar.gz
will do.
- Install the mingw cross compiling environment (on Fedora: yum install
mingw32-gcc mingw32-SDL mingw32-zlib)
- Unpack and cd to the qemu dir.
- ./configure --target-list=i386-softmmu
--cross-prefix=/usr/bin/i686-pc-mingw32- (this is for Fedora)
- Link the SDL.dll and zlink.dll to the qemu.exe dir so Wine can find them. On
Fedora:
ln -s /usr/i686-pc-mingw32/sys-root/mingw/bin/zlib1.dll i386-softmmu/
ln -s /usr/i686-pc-mingw32/sys-root/mingw/bin/SDL.dll i386-softmmu/
- Run qemu:
wine i386-softmmu/qemu.exe -L pc-bios -hda $DISKIMAGE
- After a few seconds something like:
"wine client error:3f: pipe: Too many open files" will show up and qemu will
hang.
I'm running a regression test at the moment.

Summary: wineboot aborts if "Terminate Process" is clicked
Product: Wine
Version: 1.2
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Keywords: download, source
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: programs
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: madewokherd(a)gmail.com
To reproduce:
1. Open notepad and enter some text.
2. Open another instance of notepad and enter text there.
3. Run "wineboot --end-session --kill".
4. When asked whether to save, wait for the timeout dialog instead of making
any selection.
5. When the timeout dialog appears, click "Terminate Process".
Expected result:
Wineboot closes the first instance of notepad, and the other instance of
notepad asks whether to save.
Actual result:
Wineboot closes the first instance of notepad and exits unsuccessfully.
