Hi
I try to use SDP Downloader 2.3.0 [1] on Kubuntu 11.04 x64.
The program GUI is rendered correctly, but starting a download in SDP
Downloader will cause a "TTCP: socket connect failed: 10061" error.

Summary: Printing in Landscape Mode on Legal Paper skewed.
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wineps.drv
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: fhmanas(a)yahoo.com
I am having problem printing in Landscape mode. I have a program that requires
landscape printing. I have a Canon ip2770 attached directly to my machine, and
is configured properly in Cups, correct driver and all. Linux OpenOffice and
gedit works perfectly in Portrait and Landscape printing.
In Wine, Portrait printing works perfectly for my program and the Wine Notepad.
However, in both my program and the Wine Notepad, printing in Landscape will
print the document skewed to the right, thus giving me a a good 3 inches of
white space on the left side of the paper and my document is cut off when it
reaches end of paper.
I have tried with this with multiple printers, HP Deskjet and 2 Epson
Dot-Matrix and it is all the same way. Is this a bug in Wine handling landscape
modes? My Wine version is 1.3.9 and OS is Ubuntu 10.04, paper size is US Legal.
Please help.

alsa driver patch
While figurinig out the kinks to get Love working, I had to patch the Alsa
driver to make it behave like the esound one.
The thread about that process is available here:
http://www.gaminglove.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1057
AppDB entry for the game:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=11327
To summarize, my understanding is that love.exe tries to open the sound device
twice. It works if you use the esound backend, and after a bit of investigation
we found that applying the attached patch would make things work with the Alsa
backend as well (e.g. change the return code from MMSYSERR_ALLOCATED to
MMSYSERR_NOERROR).
(thanks to Kevlarman for initially coming up with this fix)

I'm attaching the console log around this error message. Let me know what would

With wine-1.1.35, when starting a new game in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, an
intro cinematic is supposed to be rendered, but instead, the cinematic is drawn
as black for the entire duration, although in-game rendering seems fine. A
related problem occurs with the Eidos logo animation shown when starting the
game, where it is drawn extremely slow. Testing showed that rendering worked in
wine-1.0, and regression testing revealed:

wined3d: Save some memory in vertex buffers.
In most cases we're fine with the vbo and glMapBuffer and never use the
actual
heap memory copy. Try to stick to just the vbo copy and avoid allocating
the
extra heap memory. In case it is needed(emulation or vertex conversion),
fall
back to the old double buffering mode.
