Symptom: After starting the game the main menu appears but the mouse pointer seems to be stuck: it won't move. If you move your mouse constantly the mouse pointer begins to move after a couple of seconds. As soon as you stop moving your mouse, the pointer is stuck again and it takes several seconds to catch up again with the actual mouse movement. In WINE the settings get ignored (and later overwritten by default "M/d/yyyy").
