World of Warcraft launcher program window stays saying "Loading News..." where
it should show news about current wow events and links to account management
etc. After a while a tiny little empty window with only an ok button pops up.
This is a regression, first release it appears in is 1.1.29 and bisect says

1.rm -rf .wine

Bug #: 30293
Summary: Techland games do not start, DRM fails.
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Mac OS X
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: paulthetall(a)gmail.com
Classification: Unclassified
DRM issues are a common issue in wine. Lots of them are solved luckily, however
there are still games which does not work without a crack. Whereunder in this
case most of the digital/DVD games of techland.
http://www.gamersgate.com/publisher/58/techland
- Call of Juarez does work, but has different (newer Securom system)
But the other games of them do not run without crack and that issue is there in
all version of Wine:
- GTI racing
- Chrome
- Chrome Specforce
- FIM Speedway GP3
- Xpand Rally
So altough Gamersgate claims that some of the above mentioned games are DRM
free, it still fails witout crack.
Please not if you need a specific debugrun + extensions what i need to run for
you guys to get the issue clear for you guys. Thanks in advance!

This should be fixed, yes. If there are further issues, please open a new bug.
Thanks a lot, Huw!

error log
I am a newbie posting bug reports, so bear with me (and any extra info, just
holler).
1. Space Empires V patched to 1.79 (although not registered, because I have
been unable to).
2. On Kubuntu Oneiric fully patched.
3. Wine 1.4 fully patched to the latest version in the wine ppa.
4. Using amstream and quartz dll native overrides. This seems to shut off most
of the complaints.
5. The game installs, patches and starts but is otherwise completely
unplayable, with graphics (sound?) completely botched.
Attached is an error.log file. Most of it was deleted, because it simply
repeated the following four lines:
err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {8496e040-af4c-11d0-8212-00c04fc32c45} not

Installers fail to copy files with dollar signs in their names, such as
$shtdwn$.req. The problem seems to be similar to shell escaping.

Trying to get screen sharing using Adobe Connect to work I've done the
following:
winetricks firefox
winetricks flash11
In about:config set dom.ipc.plugins = true
When entering a meeting and trying to share my screen the add-in is installed
by the Flash Runtime and a window pops up. Unfortunately that window stays
empty.
