I have remapped the numpad keys using xmodmap to play Warcraft III, since some of the keyboard shortcuts cannot be changed from within the game. I wrote a simple script: xmodmap -e "keycode 10 = KP_7" xmodmap -e "keycode 11 = KP_8" xmodmap -e "keycode 12 = KP_4" xmodmap -e "keycode 13 = KP_5" xmodmap -e "keycode 14 = KP_1" xmodmap -e "keycode 15 = KP_2" wine 'Frozen Throne.exe' -opengl xmodmap -e "keycode 10 = 1" xmodmap -e "keycode 11 = 2" xmodmap -e "keycode 12 = 3" xmodmap -e "keycode 13 = 4" xmodmap -e "keycode 14 = 5" xmodmap -e "keycode 15 = 6" Running Warcraft with this script doesn't change anything though, except for several "fixmes" appearing in the console (log attached). OS: Ubuntu 8.10 Wine version: wine-1.1.32 I know there's a bug with the whole keyboard controlled mouse cursor thingy in Ubuntu 8.10. Apparently, the strsafe.h header provided by Wine is only a dummy and seems to lack most of the functions. Some whitespaces are not removed. Additionnaly, I found that wininet.dll from IE8 doesn't allow retrieving some headers with HttpQueryInfo() if they have whitespace in them, while wine does. Here is a patch which add some tests for whitespace.
