Log of ProteoWizard
While running ProteoWizard b#2296 (http://proteowizard.sourceforge.net/) to
convert RAW files, I get "Critical section 00110060 wait failed" at random
times during file processing (that is, sometimes it's able to process the whole
file correctly, sometimes it fails -- and the failure occurs at random file
positions). On Windows 7 it runs ok. Log is attached.
System: ArchLinux x86-64, WINEARCH=win32, vcrun2008 and dotnet20 installed by
winetricks

2. install photoshop with serial
Second try:
1. rm -rf ~/.wine
2. sh winetricks vcrun6 corefonts
3. install photoshop as tryout
Install works fine but when I try to launch photoshop after installation I get
following error message:
"An error has been detected with a required application library and the product
cannot continue. Please reinstall the application"
Seems that people are getting PS CS2 running and I can't seem to find any
information relating this bug, so I'm reporting.
I'm running Ubuntu Hardy beta with all the latest updates. 32bit.
Hope this helps.

I tried to reproduce this bug with a very minimal virtual FF joystick (2 axes
and 1 button), and force feedback works in wine-1.7.11-206-g82b3813
(I'm not saying that it works perfectly, but the force along the X axis seems
to work, see attachment)

Visualisation of forces in LFS (realtime)
Real-time visualisation of FF forces produced by LFS using a dummy FF device
("ff-dummy-device").
As one can see, force is generated in the X direction, as it should. The
plotted results match with the movement and interaction of the car with the
environment.
LFS seems to use "DIEFF_CARTESIAN" as direction type, "direction[0] = f" and
"(*lpvTypeSpecificParams)->lMagnitude = abs(f)" with "f" being the (signed)
force along the steering wheel axis.

This is probably caused by the Linux kernel driver, not supporting periodic
effects. What steering wheel do you use?

This is probably caused by the buggy implementation of Wine's dinput concerning
force directions (POLAR case). Right now, the effect's force will always point
in (approximately) the same direction, which is left in your case.
I'm working to get this and many other bugs fixed.

Probably related to 1), the driver might says it doesn't support that effect
(or the parameters used in that effect.)
