Proper way to do so is to call IRecordInfo_RecordCopy(), I have some tests for that but need more time to polish them. Anyway it's not enough, after this fixed it still crashes in RecordCopy() on BSTR field. The same application also starts the services manually during its first run. The main application MetaTester.exe controls all the agents running on a local machine and each agent is the same application launched again but with specific command line arguments.
