.NET 4.5.
v2 (written in .NET4.0) works well.
Steps to reproduce:

- in terminal:

Latest wine updates are causing constant crashes in VirtualDub; these happens
with several file types since wine-1.3.28 and I've been able to load back those
files after disabling directx usage.
Running wine from console (when using directx, as I used to do) gives me a
single error report (among several fixme messages, as usual) when VD has loaded
the file and is about to show it:
err:d3d:context_create wglSwapIntervalEXT failed to set swap interval 1 for
context 0x20b1c8, last error 0x591
then the application crashes and shows a dialog box with an alert "An integer
division by zero occurred in module 'VirtualDub'" which I believe is not really
related to the crash.
The error message (d3d error) points me to a video issue which, in fact,
disappears when disabling directx for display panes.
These crashes appeared when upgrading from 1.3.26 to 1.3.28 (there was no
1.3.27 wine binary for my lucid lynx) and still happen with 1.3.29.

App error details under Wine desktop generated by Core Temp 1.1
When I run Core Temp under Wine desktop, a Microsoft window appears, and in
this one, it says that Core Temp can't find a supported processor, the program
can't continue, and that window ask that if I would like to create a register
dump file to help the developers to fix the issue, because I think, Core Temp
can't detect my CPU, and in the window appears that my CPU isn't supported.

Screenshot of wrong colors
When trying to run GTAVC on a i915 machine (this also affects Intel Atom N550,
since its GPU has similar architecture), the colors are messed up, and menu
screen is blinking.
I've tracked the problem down to lack of support of GL_EXT_vertex_array_bgra on
i915. I can reproduce it on my Haswell GPU by using
MESA_EXTENSION_OVERRIDE=-GL_EXT_vertex_array_bgra. (FWIW, i915 supports
GL_ARB_vertex_program, which might be used as a substitute. Although it's not
completely HW accelerated, but should be better than pure SW implementation.)
This game worked successfully with wine 1.5.9. I'll try to bisect wine to find
the bad commit, but apparently there've been lots of breakages with different
symptoms for i915 between wine versions 1.5.9 and 1.9.14, so bisection may be
unsuccessful.

Incorrect font rendering in wineconsole
Variable width fonts have incorrect character width when displayed in
wineconsole. The character rendering is unaffected, but the character space
padded, making the text stretched horizontally, see attachments.

This bug is about the cursor which displays the position,
where text will appear in an text editor.
In a text editor like notepad with enough content for scrollbars it is possible
to scroll so long, until the cursor gets displayed oudside the actual text
editor.
If you scroll to much the cursor gets captured outside the editor and doesn't
come back if you scroll back.
I can reproduce the bug with notepad, however if you scroll the cursor so much,
that it stays outside it will be actually out of the window.
To see that the cursor gets actually displayed, if there is still window at the
position you try the Application Warcraft III: World Editor, which suffers from
the same bug.

- install Visual Web Developer Express 2008 (test result contains quite good
instructions:

- click Browse.
Most of the time the application will crash due to heap corruption. Using
native comctl32 from winetricks lets the application work just fine.
If I'm interpreting the attached log correctly, the application copies its own
contents into the structure passed in lParam:

The data copied by application is 0x14c bytes in size, the buffer allocated by
comctl is 0x124 bytes.
Hardcoding a larger buffer size is sufficient to let the application work.

If you compile the attached test case with this command

, and then run it on an i915 GPU (I tested on Intel Atom N550), you'll get
white cube instead of colored, and in console you'll get lots of messages like
this:

In wine-1.5.14 this worked correctly.

Hi,
I've tested 0.9.56, 0.9.48, 0.9.21(!) and noticed that there is a bug with
horizontal scrolling with winefile.
After clicking the right half of the horizontal scrollbar, so that the view
scrolls to the right, click to the left. The view should scroll back to the
left, but this does not happen.
The same happens in both displays of winefile (the file list and directory
tree). In the tree, the visual effect when scrolling back is "interesting".
OTOH, regedit scrolls perfectly fine.
Same when clicking the horizontal arrows instead of the bar.
I'm using Ubuntu Dapper and Gutsy, compiling wine snapshots myself, running
wine in a 800x600 virtual desktop.

I believe this one is different from the recently opened bug #31217.
The problem: the game crashes when I try to change screen resolution in the
game options menu. I can reproduce the crash both with the demo version and the
full (Steam) version of the game. The same crash happens in full screen as well
as in virtual desktop mode.
According to my testing, this is a regression from Wine 1.3.20 and the problem
is still present as of wine-1.5.8-160-g8613d5e.

I can't run Korg's Nano Series editor.
The Korg Kontrol Editor itself installs, but I must have "administrator
privileges" (Windows not Linux) for the USB-MIDI driver tools. And without the
USB MIDI driver, the program doesn't see my Nanokontrol.
"In order to install the driver, you must have Administrator privilege"
running KXStudio (KDE) 64 bit.

Curl/libcurl 7.50 fails to establish HTTPS connections on Wine with an
SEC_E_INVALID_TOKEN error.
See the comments on curl bug report for more details: it seems to be because
curl is passing an empty input buffer to InitializeSecurityContext (it works
when passing NULL instead).
It works on Windows.

This requires a couple of winsta function stubs for bug 34317.
It seems the program sends TB_GETBUTTONINFO to a toolbar with
TBIF_TEXT set, but pszText and cchText set to 0. This causes a crash when we
attempt to write to pszText.
One would think that the solution is to respect cchText even when there is no
text to return, but I got a crash when I tried to write a test that does this
on Windows. It seems Windows always crashes given NULL/0 for pszText/cchText
except when a string pointer is set for the button text.

it looks to me like NULL/0 and the TBIF_TEXT flag will always be used, and I
can't find a way that the text would be set to a string pointer without reading
it in this way first. So I haven't been able to figure out how Process Hacker

I don't think this happened in 2.30.
This could easily be worked around in Process Hacker, but it appears to be a
Wine bug.

there listed it is asked on removing if the uninstall entry shall be removed.

I tried some benchmark programs from guru3d, this (rather old) benchmark
program crashes.
I'll attach the log generated by the app itsself. The console output didn't
really tell anything interesting.
Note for myself, the dumb hack below makes the app run fine.

In EverQuest Next Landmark (Alpha) the mouse (scroll) wheel is not recognised
at all. It dose not work for any purpose it is intended for.
This is only inside the game itself. In the Launcher the mouse wheel work fine
to scroll in the list of news for example. But not in similar once inside game.
Mouse wheel works fine in all other games and applications I run in Wine.
As one has to pay to get in to the alpha I understand if no dev can reproduce
this.
But maybe you have some ideas on what I can try to get it to work?
The mouse wheel is used heavily in this game so it is quite a major
inconvenience that it doesn't work.

This application can be crash else before. If you not installed .net 4.0 in
wine bottle.
With .net installed correctly, the actual bug or error is this report.
Also is recommended, set the windows simulation to Win 7, because the minimum
requirement for the game are be: Win 7/8 and dx10.
Someone has been launch this game, but as it has not been able to get. Also

1) Whenever files are opened in Notepad++ (after application is already open),
it opens the file but does not bring the application to the front. You have to
manually click it's taskbar tab to bring it to the front. Hopefully you can
find a way to make it so (so it's similar to Windows)
2) Also, I'm not sure how to reproduce this bug but when notepad++ is open for
a while it becomes weird in the sense you can close a tab properly, can't copy
text or do any regular functions (have to close and reopen to do so). And this
doesn't happen all the time either.

I built and installed Wine 1.8-rc2 with:
./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-win64
make
sudo make install
It completed without errors. After that I can compile and build my app. But
when I try to run it, I get:

This is from a manual installation as a workaround of bug #39936. Installation
may be incomplete.
At start-up and exit it reports "OLE error 80020006". It generates a crash
report but doesn't allow for saving it. It opens the default mail client to
submit the report. It's using EurekaLog (https://www.eurekalog.com) for crash

the line from the debug output containing character codes for what I'm assuming
are Chinese characters
This was running fine until I was forced to update to the Sirens of War
expansion. Now, when I try to start it up, it immediately gives me a scrambled
error message box. I tried running wine with WINEDEBUG=+relay,+msgbox, but got
a 1.9 GB output file. After searching through it, I found the messagebox
output before it's incorrectly parsed for display (see attached
"messageBoxLine.txt). I assume these characters are supposed to be parsed as
Chinese characters, so maybe someone can do that and figure out what the
message is?

Sample delphi program (source code)
I have a Delphi sample program (see attachment) that raises and catches an
exception while a .NET dll is loaded.
When not loading the DLL, everything works fine. When the DLL is loaded, Mono
installs its own exception handler that catches the raised exception and
returns EXCEPTION_CONTINUE_EXECUTION, bypassing the application's own
stack-based exception handler which leads to a crash.

The NoX game

when inputting in any textbox ingame (setting the player name, chatting,
inputting in game console) with the following error:

Once Bug #37307 and Bug #37398 are resolved/worked around then another issue
crops up with Urban Assault, apparently a change back in June makes it such
that UA cannot load since the surface it's using does not get a palette. The
following error occurs repeated on the command line:
fixme:d3d:convert_p8_uint_b8g8r8a8_unorm P8 surface loaded without a palette.

PDF Editor is recommended by the Tracker software company as the new and more
advanced replacement for their popular product PDF-XChange Viewer.
Indeed it offers a number improvements but I suffer from a number of problems,
including:
a) You can format text entered in comment boxes, etc. and save them, and then
they can be displayed in other PDF viewers (except the PDF Editor which created
them!) Such text formatting is there to see even in the same version of PDF
Editor installed in Windows, but not under WINE. So the cause of the problem is
probably is somewhere in WINE.
b) If you click outside a newly created, unsaved comment box, the box vanishes
immediately and the application crashes.

VHD Attach is an application to mount .vhd files as hard disks.
It depends on virtdisk.dll but wine doesn't include it.
I think we can implement it easily by using libvirt?
It support VHD file type.
