Several patches were adopted that day aimed at working with gdi32, but only the last one gives this effect: 2d15ea5012e1fbd9e16a86c69d68b587128832ed good 5bdc6e0fe64222d8d7d383616f5e230928af011a bad It looks like all the Cyrilic/Hungul symbols (except those on the buttons) are missing and/or do not take up space. I attach a picture that displays the "same" graphic element, in different in-game localizations on different versions of wine. **Thai hasn't properly worked before, but I decided to include it in the image as it looks like the problematic commit is affecting its behavior too.
