After that, it remains in memory but doesn't appear to do anything else. I used Mono for this: 1. Run winetricks mono26 2. Run the Paint.NET installer This only applies to git, as it wants to install the .NET Framework in 1.1.41. Running winetricks gdiplus gets it further into the installation.
