Wine logs when launching Dolphin
Dolphin Emulator doesn't launch on Wine starting from version 5.0-17624.
The commit is the following:
https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/commit/50550cf978f3712e333953362e5bb….
I don't know what exactly is missing on Wine, but that commit is all about
windows.gaming.input.

It's not clear where in the test the crash happens (particularly with the

likely to be in test_draw_geometry().
Based on the backtrace and current source, the crash happens on this
d2d_device_context_Clear() line, probably because ID3D11DeviceContext_Map()
silently failed:
vs_cb_data->transform_geometry._11 = 1.0f;

When using a virtual desktop, the function "draw_launchers" is called every
time the desktop paints. This function creates a font using
"CreateFontIndirectW", but does not delete it, which eventually causes wine to
run out of GDI object handles, causing the desktop to not repaint. This is easy
to reproduce by running a program like https://torcado.itch.io/windowkill that
causes the desktop to constantly repaint.

The combobox used in applications created with Visual Basic 3 seems to have got
a regression. It is almost impossible for me to scroll a single line using Wine
9, while it is easy using Wine 8.
Open the application, click the Combo to drop down the list of items, Line1 to
8 is shown. Click the down arrow to scroll a single line. The delay before
further scrolling is much shorter in Wine 9 than Wine 8. Wine 8 is more true to
Windows 98.
I first noticed this in Hogia Hemekonomi but were able to create a small
example exe to avoid a long description on how to reproduce.
git bisect suggests it may be related to

Our COM-interface expose a method that take 0-N opptional parameters via
[vararg].
[vararg]
HRESULT Test([in] VARIANT mandatory, [in] SAFEARRAY(VARIANT) optional, [out,
retval] VARIANT* result);
Calling this method result in error when no arguments are specified, which
breaks compatibility with native Windows.
Calling with arguments works.
Problem may relate to SafeArrayCreate not supporting empty arrays in Wine. Or
to missing handling for edge-case in typelib.c (arround line 7363).
To progress testing we added workaround for our API, but this will affect
compatibility in other areas.

The bmpcoreimage test in user32:cursoricon fails on most Windows versions.
The failure is either:
cursoricon.c:1217: Test failed: BMP (coreinfo): IMAGE_BITMAP failed.
or cursoricon.c:1162: Test failed: BMP (coreinfo): Pixel is 0x00000000
https://test.winehq.org/data/patterns.html#user32:cursoricon
A given Windows version can have different results.
The result seems to depend on the user32.dll version, as if Microsoft issued a
security fix that changed the handling of this bitmap and progressively
converged on the "Pixel is 0" result. Here's the detailed result per platform

w2009.rx 10.0.19041.906 Pixel is 0x00000000
Note that w1507, w1607 and w1709 may be missing updates (but installing them
without upgrading to the next Windows version would be hard), which may be why
they don't fail.
So either this test should be removed, or it should be changed to expect 'pixel
== 0' and allow for broken results (which does not fit with the way
test_LoadImageFile() is currently implemented).
We may also want to update Wine's BITMAP_Load() implementation to match the
current Windows behavior.
For reference this test bitmap was introduced in the commit below:

Process Explorer crashes when opening the properties window

Hello folks,
found while revisiting some SIMATIC WinCC V15.1 Runtime installer tickets of
mine.
The failure happens during installation of 'Automation License Manager'
component. Default 64-bit WINEPREFIX (Windows 7). It is considered critical and
blocks further installation.
Running the tool directly, simulating sub-installer call:

Summary: winedbg: crashes after loading gecko debug information
Product: Wine

Created attachment 75929
--> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=75929
stdout of application and winedbg, backtrace for handled and unhandled SIGSEGV
Looking at 56213 gives a crash ending in xul.dll.
Therefore I put the xul.pdb from wine-gecko-2.47.4-x86-pdb.tar.xz
into the directory of xul.dll.
This leads to a crashing winedbg.exe.
I think the address space gets exhausted, because the xul.pdb is 500 MB,
and htop shows for a crashing winedbg.exe VIRT=4072M RES=1588M.
This comes with a few of following lines:
err:virtual:allocate_virtual_memory out of memory for allocation, base (nil)
size 003f4000
But also this line is visible:
err:dbghelp_msc:pe_load_debug_directory Got a page fault while loading symbols
So the loading of the big pdb file is protected by
an exception handler in pe_load_debug_directory.
But afterwards dbghelp.dll tries to work with this partially loaded debug
information and gets a second SIGSEGV, this time unhandled
and unfortunately without any message.
