Bug ID: 57679
Summary: SimHub shows black window when the app is minimized.
Product: Wine
Version: 10.0-rc2
Hardware: x86-64
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: winex11.drv
Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
Reporter: logos128(a)gmail.com
Regression SHA1: 2e6820ee4ba30b1a8831d29937a369b9b548656b
Distribution: ArchLinux
Usually this black window (rectangle) appears at the same place as the
minimized window. When the app window is maximized again, it covers the black
window. After several minimize/unminimize attempts, though, the black rectangle
will appear elsewhere on the screen. After that the main window unminimizes at
this new place, with its window controls (close box, minimize box, etc.)
unresponsive to mouse clicks.
SimHub (https://www.simhubdash.com) is a WPF app and requires .NET 4.8 to
function properly.

trace generated by wine
Wine crashes right after the first frame of game intro is shown.
Created a new 32bit wine prefix for this game.
Tried windows versions XP and 3.1 - behavior is the same in both cases.
Using virtual desktop and disallowing window decorations did not help.
No other options tried.
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS is used with Wine installed from winehq repository.
Problem is detected on 1.9.21 and 1.9.22.

A full wine trace
Issue: Farming Simulator 2022 dedicated webserver binds application to "lo"
adapter
Wine doesn't run my program the same way as Windows does, for some reason it
binds to the "lo" adapter. I suspect the application is selecting the first
interface. Sadly there is no way to override this.
I included a full trace, keywords to look trough are winsock, 127.0.0.1,
winsock:bind socket etc.
Any help is welcome and if more info is needed let me know.
Wine: 9.10-1 and <
Archlinux, Kernel 6.9.3. X68_64
A VNC instance where the issue can be reproduced is available on request.
A license key for Farming Simulator 2022 can be provided by me on request.
The download of the game/server can be found at:

This docker container is using nginx to get around the issue:

Summary: Splinter Cell (2002): crashes when changing game
resolution when used with DXVK
Product: Wine
Version: 10.1
Hardware: x86-64

output log
When I change the game resolution via the settings menu, the game crashes.
You can also crash when you start the game (right after the introductory
video). Just change the game resolution via the SplinterCellUser.ini
configuration file:
Resolution=1920x1080
This behavior only happens when used with DXVK. It doesn't happen with WineD3D
OpenGL (it's impossible to test with WineD3D Vulkan, as it completely breaks
the look of the game). And of course, it doesn't happen with winex11.drv
either.
- The game was installed via CD-ROM and is up to date with the latest update
(v1.3).
- I use labwc/wlroots as WM.
- Although I'm on Arch Linux, I compile wine manually with these options:
./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-archs=i386,x86_64 --enable-win64. So I'm
using the new WoW64 mode, but this behavior also happens in normal wine.

Summary: Ableton Live 12: Max for Live fails to start

wine output
Ableton Live 12 (both Suite and Trial versions) won't start Max for Live. It
gets stuck on "Starting Max...", and renaming the Max folder to something else
(this tricks Ableton into thinking that Max is not installed) makes the program
start just fine.
The cause of this issue seems to be a regression in ucrtbase (Max for Live was
working just fine before Wine 9.12 if I recall correctly).
By installing the program multiple times I have noticed that Max does start
upon launching Ableton just after installing, but not on subsequent runs.
I have tested the program on a clean prefix (mostly, I did set wined3d renderer
to vulkan using winetricks), using a fresh build of latest git wine, compiled
locally with GCC 14 on Arch Linux.
