------- Additional Comments From tony_lambregts(a)telusplanet.net 2005-08-03 12:36 -------
I am CC:ing the maintainer for this application. WinAmp Has been know to work
fine with wine for quite a while so I wonder what could be wrong.

Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org

I tried to run Winamp using wine. I copied all files to some directory.
Then it displayed to enter WinMM section in config file , I added that as follows :
[WinMM]
"Drivers" = "wineoss.drv"
"WaveMapper" = "msacm.drv"

After this when run wine I got the following errors :
wine winamp

fixme:ole:_LocalServerThread CoMarshalInterface failed, 80070057!
fixme:ole:CoMarshalInterface Failed to Marshal the interface, 80070057?

This is wiered beahavior , I should atleast get a proper error messages,
PS:
In the backgruond one transpernet window (may be of winamp ) was stuck on GUI wind.

I believe I didn't explain it correctly.
I could have some files that were written by some old rpm installation lying
around. Or maybe not, but I did have wine installed from Mandrake rmps before, so...
That's what I'm going to do (probably in a few hours):
a) rpm -qa | grep wine
b) Unistall all wine-related rpms that appear on step a)
c) Compile and install wine from sources again, after cheking if there is any
debugging related flag that can be applied to the build process
d) Run wine again with WINEDEBUG='+ole,+tid'
e) Post here the results.
Javier.

Mandrake 10.1
I had compiled Version 20050211 from source. But maybe I had some old rpm
somewhere...
I'll try to uninstall all my rpm, compile it again from source and post result here.

You need to fix your build environment so that when building 32-bit code gcc
finds the i386 kernel headers instead of the x86-64 ones.

Where did you get your wine? What distro are you useing? it may be that you have
to download additional packages to get debug info. or possible you will need to
compile it yourself.

No, I added the ' myself. Even tried with double quotes (").
I don't know why wine don't generate debug information.
