The last two characters in the file are "\r\n". Can't attach process a: error 5 [raul@localhost Notes_5.08]$ That's happen right after setup decompress the "temp" files. With my previous Linux installation, the setup for this programs run fine. It brings up a windows dialog saying: An error (-5009 : 0x8000ffff) has occured while running the setup. I also have a debug log file with warnings turned on and there are several suspicious entries, but since this is my first encounter with wine, I am not quite sure what they all mean... Running winzip setup works. Everything else I tried worked up to a certain point and hang in an infinite loop of segmentation faults. Attached is the example of running ie5setup.exe. The main screen appears, but after I click on 'Accept' the infinite loop described starts.
