There are several Windows programs that I MUST have and if I can't get this to work properly I have to uninstall Linux and go back to that garbage OS: Windows XP. I have a mute desktop, as my sound driver doesn't' t work, but the game apparently starts without errors, I'll compile wine tomorrow on my SLOW notebook, just to confirm that sound works. It generally occurs because you have downloaded/unpacked Wine as root.
