I've recently noticed a few things, the first is that I run mcm.exe with a
stripped wine, so I'm going to send the output again but generated by a cvs wine
from today. Second, mcm needs a dll named d3drm.dll, it doesn't seem to exist in
wine, so I'm using a native one from windows 95. Also I've noticed that
msvcrt40.dll is missing in wine, so that's 2 dlls missing, is this going to be
fixed?

if i open it in a 2nd x server without windowmanager it works fine. So it could be
caused by kde3.1 as well...

Questions :
- do you still have mouse working ?
yes, the mouse is working
- do you have DXGrab set to "Y" ?
yes i have
- did you try to change window manager (or even better, without a window
manager) ?
no, i didnt - will have to find out how it can be started without a manager
- (seems dumb) you sure that you give focus to the Wine window ?
it isnt opening a window (only if i use allow windomanager to manage = Y) but then
its not fullscreen and the window isnt having the correct size, so unplayable.
Enabling or disabling focus in the options has no effect.

Well if it was not present in the 2003-01-15 snapshot perhaps you should
consider regression testing using CVS the link on how to do this is here.
http://www.winehq.org/Docs/wine-devel/cvs-regression.shtml
This is the easiest way to find the patch that broke it.

definitely had `+dinput' appended to the --debugmsg parameter... :)
... which, based on the --debugmsg output, also leads me to believe half life
does not use dinput.
a keypress will repeat in notepad.exe (proper operation) but will also repeat in
half life (improper operation).
where this bug was introduced, i do not know. it was not present in the 20030115
snapshot.
what component should this bug be properly filed under? (as we have determined
it is not dinput.)
