Experienced the same with CVS version. Without modifying directx.c, I couldn't
get to the login screen (or, actually, I got to the login screen, and got sound
at that step, but the login screen was all black and unusable). After altering
the last return in IWineD3DImpl_CheckDeviceType function in directx.c to return
D3D_OK instead of D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE (and adding the "Fonts" registry key), I
got to the login screen and could proceed to login.

For what it's worth, I ran into this as well (also on AMD64 & Gentoo).
I was able to get it to compile again by passing configure
CFLAGS=-L/emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/ LDFLAGS=-L/emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/
--x-libraries=/emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/
The git log does show a couple of changes wrt winegcc and library paths on
2006-03-16, but I don't know if they are the cause or not.

Summary: Setting breakpoint in form of <module>!<id> doesn't work
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.10.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-debug
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: codemachine(a)inbox.ru
Hi,
breakpoint command in winedbg should accept identifier in form <module>!<id>:
"-Identifiers can take a '!' in their names. This allow mainly to access symbols
from different DLLs like USER32!CreateWindowExA." - from Wine Developer's Guide.
But when I enter such expressions winedbg seems to process only part before '!'.
Example:
<in some debugging session>:
Wine-dbg>b advapi32!HeapFree
No symbols found for advapi32
Unable to add breakpoint, will check again when a new DLL is loaded
syntax error
I've tried to investigate this issue and seems that problem somewhere in winedbg
Yacc rules. When I've changed 'identifier' rule in dbg.y
From:
identifier:
tIDENTIFIER { $$ = $1; }
| tPATH '!' tIDENTIFIER { .... }
To
identifier:
tIDENTIFIER { $$ = $1; }
| tIDENTIFIER '!' tIDENTIFIER { ... }
winedbg began to accept such breakpoint commands properly:
Wine-dbg>b advapi32!HeapFree
Many symbols with name 'advapi32!HeapFree', choose the one you want (<cr> to abort):
[1]: 0x7f9baa70 HeapFree in advapi32
[2]: 0x7f9baa70 HeapFree in advapi32
But it still does case-sensitive search through modules and 'ADVAPI32!HeapFree'
doesn't work, but, as far as I've understood from Developer's Guide example,
case-insensitive search is expected.

Using Wine 0.9.9, Fedora Core 4 stock install. This problem definitely occurs -
putting windows core fonts into wine's windows\fonts directory solves the issue.
A "111" will not fit into the (theoretically) three-character wide first entry
field for the licence number with the default font setup, but works fine once
the fonts are copied in.

Summary: Regression page fault at access to 0xffffffff in 16 bit

After this patch
http://source.winehq.org/git/?p=wine.git;a=commit;h=1a4f6e579b6aab685fae2e6…
a control system simulation tool set written using Delphi 1.0 and BC++4.5 in the
16 bit mode fails with a page fault. This program has been running on wine for a
year or This program is a 16 bit program and will run on win95 but not on on win98.
I tried mangage and unmanaged window mode in winecfg.
I can post a like to a zip with the exe's and dll's require to run or generate
traces as required.
I have the C program using borlands easy windows which spawns the Delphi 1.0 GUI
interface. They use a common DLL which in the 16 bit mode share the same memory
to communicate with message passing.
The next trace +win I think show a 32 bit window created for use by my 16 bit
program.

I think the problem appears because of the shockwave components that Delphi is

I tried to put some dlls but it don't works.

Well, i'm not really familiar with this stuff, but looking at that patch , i added
in line 1195 in wined3d/device.c this line:
object->win_handle = GetAncestor(object->win_handle, GA_ROOT);
and now it starts up in full screen mode as well (it crashed for me before)
When i open an .rfx file now, the whole window is overdrawn with black , and all
menu's get hidden by it. I cannot see any rendered model or so. Any ideas where
that comes from?

Hi, there are already two bugs filed for this application (bug 3773 and bug
4702), but as far as i can judge, i run into different bugs:
When run in virtual desktop (otherwise it crashes immediatley) and opening an
.rfx file i get a messagebox telling that a Dx9 window could not be opened. I
think it is related to this message in the console:
warn:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_CreateAdditionalSwapChain Failed to get a valid
XVisuial ID for the window 0x50088
Anyone an idea what's going on?

I understood, but he gave the link. :)
Forgive me, it's my first bug here and I never had to do with backtraces.
I'm sorry, I noticed a few differences but I didn't know they were meaningless.
Is there a document about the policy to follow here?
I used the Gentoo ebuild, and I tried to not apply the default patches (where I
could) without noticing any change.

I had a closer look, and it seems the callback-fixme is not to blame. In fact,
I don't understand the fixme at all, there seem to be nothing to fix there -
maybe it's a leftover someone forgot to remove...?
The problem seems to be in the user interface. With the interface minimized,
Reason/ Wine only uses a few percent of the CPU and everything is smooth. With
the interface shown, X sucks every available CPU cycle during playback -
things get worse if you scroll the interface. I do know that Wine is quite
slow when it comes to graphics/ user interface stuff, but this is insane.
There must be something very wrong there.

Please don't paste these backtraces, attach them instead. Especially when it's
the same exact one.
Also please use unstripped binaries so we could see parameters as well (run
