To allow participiants to get the trial version, I'd translate the form for You.
"Bezplatna registracia" means "Free (beer) registration"
"Meno" .. "Name"
"Priezvisko" .. "Surname"
"Heslo" .. "Password"
"Potvrdenie hesla" .. "Confirm password"
Then You can login and download the AMBULANCIA software.

Woww, a miracle! The empty winmm.dll is enough for him. I'd never thought that
it's so easy to get a licence ;o)
I'd suggest, that bogus winmm.dll would be default part of wine, of course
priority would have native one.

I've downloaded AMC v3.28 trial and tried it with current Wine (latest CVS
version). It doesn't print me a line with "Call from 0x7fc53170 to
unimplemented function". I have stopped my CUPSD and retried - no changes in
Wine behaviour.
What version is your AMC?

Summary: TRS2004 crashes on startup with a graphics system error
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.2.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: tanarrifujitsu(a)optusnet.com.au
Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004 dies on startup, with a dialog stating that "Your
computer hardware and or software is unable to communicate correctly with
Trainz." This occurs in both Direct3D and OpenGL modes, however OpenGL mode
dumps some errors to the console, specifically
"fixme:opengl:wglGetPixelFormatAttribivARB unsupported 200x WGL Attribute,"
where x is a number between 4 and 9, iterating through 4 to 9 18 times before
displaying the error in the dialog. For DirectX, it gives nothing to the console.
A demo is available at
http://download.nvidia.com/downloads/nZone/demos/TRS2004_US_Demo.exe. The error
occurs in both the full and demo versions.

Summary: Font Bugs in Wizardry 8
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: PC
URL: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?appId=548
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: cklein(a)mpi-sb.mpg.de
When playing Wizardry 8 using a current CVS build (for example 2005-11-24), I
get strange font bugs.
The start screen says "AAA" where it should say "v1.2.4".
Also the names of the savegames in the loadgame menue are totally messed up,
they too suddenly contain mostly A's.
After messing around with cvs and recompiling wine many times, it seems that the
bug started at 2005-07-07.
Strangely enough it seems to be caused by this:
--------------------
2005-07-07 20:26 julliard
* dlls/ntdll/loadorder.c: Use the same defaults for modules with
and without an explicit path.
--------------------
or at least by a patch submitted somewhere close to this.
(I checked out with -D 2005-07-07 20:25, and it worked,
I checked out with -D 2005-07-07 21:00, which should add exactly the above
patch, and it didn't work any longer)

Windows script doesn't solve a problem. I tried to install it.
On Wine-0.9.1 this error appears when I select some menu items, on 20050725 -
during startup, on 2004.. - when switching between opened documents.
Dreamweaver uses JavaScript in configuration scripts, and should share some
internal classes and variables, but it can't do it correctly under wine. I guess..

You are correct that there is not a config file anymore. From a command prompt,
just type regedit, and you will bring up the wine registry editor, from which
you can navigate (just like you would the windows registry), and change config
that way..
Fortunately you can NOT prevent your system from booting by messing up the
registry here..

Hey, Benjamin, you didn't show what wine prints in its output without any debug
channels.
And if you can, please run it with a WINEDEBUG=+relay set. Then show us about
2000 of lines from the tail of the wine output (by attaching them to the
bugreport). It should also contain stack backtrace in winedbg form which is
done automatically as soon as wine debugger is launched. (not one from WoW logs,
which doesn't find lots of debug symbols for some reason.
winedbg backtrace should show us a file function from which segfaults. The we
will know what debug channels we shoud use, I guess.

Yes, we know it still exists. Unfortunately this isnt a simple problem to
workaround in the wine sources. The elder developers have had a look at this
bug, and have determined it to be due to bugs in the Xorg X server.. They have
contacted the developers of X and are working on a fix, but in the meantime,
your best bet is to roll your X install back (if possible) to Xorg 6.8.1.. That
worked for me, and I am having no problems. I should highly advised you that if
you do that though, you could be potentially exposing yourself to attack, due to
the bugs that were fixed in 6.8.2, and that is a risk that I am willing to take
only because my linux box is not something essential....
For now, resolving as later..

I haven't seen that javascript error myself, but
I'll look for it.
Which version of Wine are you using?
FWIW, that javascript error has been reported
on windows several times, and once before for wine.
Here's the text from the old frank's corner forum:
---snip---
anzesk
I had the same problem, using DLLs (as Frank suggested, except that I copied
them to fake_windows) from Win98 helped.
But I'm stuck a little further down the road... Could someone give me a hint? DW
complains:
"The following JavaScript error(s) occured:
At line 1 of '...startup/helpdocs.js':
Reference Error: MM is not defined."
Any idea how to get past this or at least figure out what is wrong?
Maybe I should mention that after this JavaScript error Wine eats all the CPU
and does nothing. For long time.
Frank
Install Windows Script:

No idea if Windows Script is related, or if it'll run on wine.

Not easily, it was about five months ago when I last tried to run WoW on Linux
and so much has changed on my system since then it could be caused by any number
of things. Since then, I've had a system reinstall, new kernel version, the
Debian switch from XFree86 -> XOrg, lord knows how many libraries being
updated, etc. The old versions of whatever I was using are no longer available
from the Debian archive, I'd have to recompile XFree86 manually as well and I
wouldn't even have the same version because of Debian patches. WoW will likely
no longer run with a version of Wine that old. I can try running regressions on
Dinput (since that's the likely culprit) and see what I can turn up.

No, it would not. And it's not.
I'm sorry if it is not clear, but the matlab application has no sound.dll nor
sound.drv. It is using and it needs the system's sound.dll or .drv. Matlab
doesn't care. But wine finds only the .dll.
It is wine's wrong assumption that if matlab needs 'SOUND' it must be 'SOUND.DLL'.
Please re-read the bug description, check out the wine source, i think it's
understandable what's going on, and why it does not work.
I have already uploaded MATLAB.EXE because it's related to another wine bug:

In the game I have several commands bound to keys on the numpad. This used to
work fine (four months or so ago), but when I tried it again today, now it seems
to not be sending 'key up' events (if I had to guess). When I hit a Number key
on the numpad, the abilities 'lights up', acknowledging the keypress, but never
fires, which is the same thing that happens for other abilities if I hold down a
'working' key. The other non-number keys on the numpad work fine (plus, slash,
minus, etc). It also works perfectly under Windows.
I'm running Debian Sid, with X.Org 6.8.2.dsfg.1-10, the 71.74 Nvidia drivers
(the newer drivers are in 'experimental' due to some GL bug). I believe when the
keys still worked I was running XFree86, so maybe this is a xorg bug.

I think MATLAB does not specify, maybe because it's a 16bit app? It just needs
'SOUND'
>From the logfile:
000a:trace:module:NE_LoadDLLs Loading 'GDI'
000a:trace:module:GetModuleHandle16 (GDI)
000a:trace:module:NE_LoadDLLs Loading 'USER'

000a:trace:module:GetModuleHandle16 (KERNEL)
000a:trace:module:NE_LoadDLLs Loading 'SOUND'
000a:trace:module:GetModuleHandle16 (SOUND)
But NE_LoadDLLs adds the ".DLL" extension to the base name. When sound.dll was
used in wine, it found it. But now, it doesn't, because the filename does not match.

Summary: Could not load 'SOUND.DLL'
Product: Wine

Component: wine-multimedia

When I start the MATLAB4 application it says:
Could not load 'SOUND.DLL' required by 'matlab ', error=2
This bug showed up in wine 0.9.2, 0.9 works fine.
The bug is probably caused by the CVS commit
"Correct name of sound.dll to sound.drv (WIN16)."
at Sun Oct 30 19:06:59 2005 UTC.
At the moment, wine calls kernel32.__wine_dll_register_16 with dll name
"sound.drv", but when NE_LoadDLLs calls MODULE_LoadModule16 a ".DLL" extension
is appended to 'SOUND'. So MODULE_LoadModule16 gets called with "SOUND.DLL" and
because of that, find_dll_descr will not find the entry of "sound.drv", and wine
tries to load a native dll instead of using a built-in.

Well it still works for me (cvs). Could you start Steam and then exit it
(without starting any game)? If that works, then it's a problem with cs crashing
and leaving something open.

Thank you.
Please file a separate bug report for those. They are not critical errors, but
fixmes. If program works properly, I'm not sure you even need to open a bug fot
them <g>
This bug will be closed as soon as patch will be commited.

Wine is usually built with "./configure && make depend && make" Skipping the
"make depend" may work but is not recommmended.
it just the one CD or all CD's? How did you set up the drive? Did you use winecfg?

Not a duplicate. This one is about Word Viewer 97, whereas 3318 is about WV

Both versions also fail in different ways, and have different workarounds.

Confirming. I downloaded the game from
http://www.jucaushii.ro/gamespace_883_download_296_Silkroad_Online_full_cli…
as the downloadlink you provided didn't work for me.
The game starts up fine however if you set winedows version to win98 using
winecfg. Could you try and report back?

Running Slackware 10.2 with kernel 2.6.15-rc2. The program that's giving this
problem is Advanced MP3 Catalog, which can be found at http://www.wizetech.com/amc/
I'm using wine version 0.9.2 and all I did was ./configure followed by make.
I'm running it directly from the source. As for other errors in the console,
there is nothing else except that.

If you need to do something like that, then you are not doing it right. You
should be using COM stuff to talk to Office and make it do what you need it to do.

Does the Counter Strike crashes on exit? If so, then it's a known problem with
Wine (not restoring display resolution).
