When you run the game with native msvcrt the name is correct: "Sample Party" . Ilya, could you try to run the game with native msvcrt and report back if it changes anything? That way it's clear wether or not the problem is in msvcrt. All just default. Futher i used cvs version(2 days ago). What version did you run it with? I just unpacked it in ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files and ran it. You could try with current cvs and see if it changes anything, if not, my guess would be that it is related to running wine on FreeBSD. AFAIK wine can have some weird issues when run on other Operating Systems than Linux. Actually, it looks like the reason it's crashing is that it's trying to create windows registry hives. Perhaps support for hives could be improved. I have tried both ways of trying to fix it via the Applications Database -both using winetools and not but to no avail. Here is a thread which another person get the exact same error as I. If i unpack it in ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files and run layout40.exe it only takes 1 second to start (there are almost no files right there) .
