Perhaps you have IE installed in your copy of Wine, and that's why the web installer works for you? Although GoogleEarth doesn't really run on them i can see the initial openingsscreen. In cvs version 22jan 2005 the image is displayed in the correct position: upper right corner.All menu's are visible. In wine-20050211 (11 feb) it is wrongly displayed in lower left corner, like it is with current cvs. So maybe it's a regression. It looks to me that the only error is, is that the image is at the wrong coordinates, thus covering the menus. Somehow i have the feeling this shouldn't be too diffcult to fix. Any comments /hints how to debug it? In one game (Starfox 64), with the default DirectSound plugin the console window starts flooding with "fixme:dsound:DSOUND_MixOne problem with underrun detection" messages, and if the console is visible and I click to minimize it, the sound dies. However if the window was already minimized and I leave the game going, it seems to play fine. When you start the app, it refuses to start unless it can access the sound card. Wine's error log says you need to run winecfg and select emulated sound. Am I wrong that sockets should be opened in blocking mode by default?
